As a GOOG shareholder it is so frustrating to see them sitting on gold mines... only to stay sitting on those gold mines. It was fine for them to have 'calm leadership' back when their leadership was unquestioned - now with everyone nipping at their heels they need to bring in a leader that was as hungry as Satya Nadella was when he took the helm of MSFT.
The CEO of Google is useless. He's the Steve Ballmer of Google. Time for a shake up at the board level and then to find a CEO who isn't a government employee and can compete with Zuck!
Google needs a Satya! Google's current employees have been living off their inheritance (the search engine, youtube platform, Andriod, all the good stuff left by the first-generation elite employees).
Another 12 % gains as Feb 29 th earnings date nears..* FSR... Fisker.. 5 models of Ocean EVs on the Electrified Tours to 17 US cities, new dealerships coming in Paris, Germany, US and Switzerland..45 K reservations. Rivian.. Lucid.. Xos trucks, more.
Tug of war describes this perfectly. Broadcom and Qualcomm are amazing stock. 99% of all data is transmitted through a Broadcom or Qualcomm radio chip. AI won’t work without 5G. Que bono?
And Cramer is right: Google's current generation (of employees) excel at turning the good stuff into nothing . Who did they chose to market their Pixel? And the selling point in the ad is to translate Chinese language into English?! Who are the target customers? People who speak little English? Well if that is the case, they should have chosen a Chinese star who is popular in the Chinese entertainment industry, not a Hollywood star whose ancestry is Chinese. If the target customers are American or English speaking people, why is Google using the translation function as the selling point in the ad?? They should have chosen Taylor Smith or someone of equivalent calibre (and Google can sure afford the $$), and marketed the useful good features about the phone instead. Function wise the Pixel is actually pretty good. (Even the most elite model of Samsung has a pretty horrible camera. So, the competition is not strong...) But Google just excels at wasting money on marketing their phone into obscurity. By the way, does Google management know that its Chinese input keyboard sucks!! If I lived in a country where Chinese is the primary language, I would never buy a Pixel for this reason alone! Typing the exact same message on a Google Chinese input keyboard takes is at least 3 times slower than on a Xiaomi keyboard. You get soooo frustrated that sometimes you just switch to English and say screw it! (Let your Chinese-speaking friend translate what you write in English using their Xiaomi or Huawei phone instead!) Google needs to send some of their AI engineers and researchers to China to learn how Xiaomi etc did the AI training for their Chinese input keyboard! Seriously! Pichai, please layoff the engineers who did the AI training for the Google's Chinese input keyboard, and hire engineers from China to redo it! Oh, and now, even Google's map screws up from time to time. I set no highway but Google just directed me onto the highway. Whenever that happens, I need to rest the phone to allow highway, do a "get direction," and then reset it to "no highway" and get direction again. Otherwise, Google just directs me to highway whenever it feels like it even though the setting clearly says no highway. Oh, so much about Google's cloud. I couldn't get it started (should be automatic) sometimes after a reboot. Their support engineer just talked to me like I was an idiot and there was no issue. She thought her job was to tell the customers how stupid they were or just to answer the phone?? (Well, this same idiot--me--had no issue with Microsoft's One Drive, and Microsoft is not even the technical superior!) Finally, I did a search and found in a forum that many other users had encountered the exact same problem, and I followed their comments on the work around to fix the problem. But I would give Google full credit that I found the solution to their bug by using the Google search engine!! So, even though their customer support engineer excelled at getting the customer absolutely nowhere, their legacy search engine was still the best of the best! And so much about Google having the best AI. In addition to a Chinese input keyboard which raises my blood pressure, recently RU-vid has shown me ads in German or some languages I don't understand. How did Google's AI engine come up with the idea that I want to watch ads in a language I don't understand? ??!! May be the second-generation kids at Google are so used to getting freebies that the concept of monetizing seems disgusting to them? It is just so frustrating. Google owns so many precious germs built by their first-generation elite employees. And now it seems like so many at Google are just determined to live off their inheritance!
@SigFigNewton so many bugs reported....and yet the idiot asked if there were any real complaints about the products instead of trying to fix the bugs. Pichai, if you insist on not firing these artogrant idiots, you would be the one who get fired and remembered as the Steve Ballmer of Google. If you can't be a Satya, at least be a Mark and have a year of efficiency! Listen to what the analysts are saying: at least 18% more to go!! It is not just about saving costs; but rather, when you sweep out the high-paid incompetent junkies, the culture, attitude, and atmosphere at work will change, and the competent ones will start to actualize their potentials.
All he needs to do is slow down the prompter machine. He may add "filler" to the narrative and even writes most of it but it does sound garbled at times. Don't be fooled Jim knows his stuff.

I wish he would talk about platinum. It’s so hated and so cheap compared to gold. $880 an ounce for platinum?! I’m getting loaded. 😂 thank you short sellers. That’s the best hedge against BRICs. It’s mined in South Africa, Russia, Brazil, china, US in that order. Palladium, rhodium, iridium, platinum. PGM catalysts will be needed for carbon credits for these data mines. I guess I’m too early but I’ll hold through because I know it’s true worth.
