I studied five pieces by the iconic Alphonse Mucha on my livestream. In particular I looked at composition and figure, and through the process discovered Mucha's sophisticated use of different kinds of contrasts to communicate a hierarchy of focal points, among other things. I don't spend much time with the works before the livestream, so that my viewers and I can dig into the pieces organically, and hopefully capture the genuine process of an artist study.
