The iLX-702D Digital Media Station brings the latest media compatibility, online navigation capability and Alpine’s audiophile sound quality to your ride. It is fully compatible with the latest smartphones such as the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy S7 and lets you use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on its 7-inch high-resolution touch screen.

Hi, thank you for the review! I just had this unit installed in my old car yesterday. I notice that mine does not show the clock display like yours. Is that because I didn't connect the GPS signal port to the unit?

Howdy, love your work and guiding instructions. I bought a Honda Euro specific kit. No longer have AM Radio that I had previously with the Luxury stereo. Any tips, ideas etc please; I don't want to bitch just want AM Radio :-)

Hi, does that unit support an iPod Classic? If so can one operate the iPod Classic from the head unit and change it at the same time?

I confirm so but you cannot use IPod classic and bothconnect your IOS/ANDROID phone. One or the other, which is not exactly what I expected..

Hi, I’ve got the exact same unit. Within the last couple of days the Apple CarPlay does not display on the screen. It’s just a blank screen but still does work. If I go out of Apple CarPlay, everything else displays on the screen. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

How do you play videos from your usb stick? File format? I went into settings> video and it says unable to view while driving when the car was parked!

Advanced In-Car Technologies Thanks! Checked the install and they had hooked up the parking brake sensor wrong so it thought I was always driving, now it works perfectly! Even when driving😇😇

I've done the test with ANDROID AUTO via BT and it works cableless, however not in the car display, but only on my phone...

Sorry, you say that the service for CarPlay (Apple) is Google Maps. But are you sure it isn’t Maps?

Yes, it uses Apple maps. There is word on the web that Apple are going to open up the CarPlay OS to enable third party apps including Google Maps sometime this year, but I'm not sure when and if that will eventuate.

+mohammed azad pretty keen on how Alpine are at the moment. They have rebuilt their iOS and it’s really great. CarPlay is a great addition.

Hey Advanced In-Car Technologies great review. Im really trying to deck out my car with a new stereo I drive for work everyday and use google maps on my android and have space for a DD unit I was planning on getting this unit www.kenwood.com/au/car/visual_navigation/ddx9017dabs/ but im just not sure if there is anything that competes or has all of the features of that kenwood unit for a cheaper price? Would you be able to point me in the right direction. I dont mind Alpine, Kenwood or Pioneer just want something with as many features packed in as possible and if I have to spend $1200 then I will thanks buddy.
