Alpine S S65C S Series 6.5 Speakers VS KICKER 46CSC654 CSC65 Sound Demo 

To anyone who is upgrading their speakers SOUNDPROOF YOUR DOORS it makes a huge difference.

My only issue with this is comparing Components to Coaxials. The components will win 95% of the time. I'd suggest redoing this comparison with the Alpine S-S65.

Kicker sounds much richer and thumpier, but you can hear a lot more smoothness from the alpine.

I tried both of these in my 2018 Kia Niro with the stock non premium head unit and the Alpines have deeper and smoother bass. If you are looking to just replace the stock speakers and not add a subwoofer I would go with the Alpines.

Please do a review comparison with JL Audio C2 6×9 ,6.5 and also Kenwood Excelon KFC 6903 C. Love your videos brother.Keep it up

Great comparison. I just needed to replace my stock speakers for my 2003 Trailblazer. I'm using the Pioneer DMH-241EX radio that I just bought to run my MTX Terminator6 Terminator Series 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers that were $40 a pair. I bought 4 of those. They sound like great for $40 speakers. I just didn't want to spend too much money in my old commuter 😂😅.

Great video! I use to always run kicker cs. They took a beating and never gave up. I’m switching to alpine for the cleaner sound. Hopefully they work out great.

The kickers are actually rated down to a lower response and the do dig Lower but it's stupid considering the build of the speaker doesn't allow the extention/excursion needed to use it properly it's rated to 48 Hz or something from memory and Alpine is around 60 something but sounds deeper!

This has to be one the closest comparisons I’ve heard on the channel. The alpines are just a little cleaner on the higher end. These kickers may be on par with the infinity?

those kickers never disappoint!! if you already have subs, no need for the lowness of the alpine. but if you are wanting that mid punch......seems like kicker has it!

Bro, coaxial speakers filter with one stage while component speakers filter with two. This results in better bass and better sound but also is more expensive.

If you have a sub, you do not need bass from your small speaker. And since bass in doors are a bit out of control, Kicker take the win for me.

What amp are you reunning the speakers through? Which be better for a 2017 civic EX with a stock amp. Believe the stock amp is about 50 watt rms, and has high sensitivity speakers in them.

I argued with an installer about replacing 4 speakers in the car Buick lacrosse 2012 The installer offered me straight alpine s65c Go ahead and back alpine s65 I mentioned that I don't intend to put an amplifier and if 65c which is a component will give enough power I asked why not put speakers without good components because there is no amplifier, but he still insisted that the vehicle is correct and will give value The problem is not the price, but you can get quality speakers without a component for this price or even less... He claimed that alpine is still among the best today and still take the component and if I'm not satisfied put an amplifier even though I mentioned several times that I'm not interested in an amplifier In conclusion, the installer recommended component front speakers even if I don't connect an amplifier.. what do you think Thanks

I can't decide between these two speakers, I would take either the Alpine S2 S65C or the JBL GTO 609C for the car door. Of course, it would be connected to a Hifonix amplifier with a power of 4x135Watt/RMS with 4 Ohm OR 4x225Watt/RMS with 2 Ohm. Then I would need 4" speakers for the dashboard, which I would have to choose from is the Alpine S S40 (S2 S40) or the JBL Club4020, because I can't get anything else from JBL here in Europe. Now it's important that the speakers don't have that pounchi bass but that deep soft bass and the tweeters are not that important because those prominent trebles are really annoying to me and the middle tone is more important to me.I now have Hertz DSK170.3 speakers in my door and I'm not happy with them at all the bass is totally bad that strange pouncy bass, even though I have the doors insulated with Sound Deadener and foam specifically for car sound systems.

Alpine is just better made and has better sound. Kicker to me has always been a Pepboys car audio brand. If you run a sub, Kicker might be better to get strong mid-bass.Ya, the Alpine def. sounds smoother. I ran them previously, and I just found them to be too power hungry, I.e., the sensitivity is too low.

Close your eyes and listen to it 3x you should pick up the change cellphone speaker

both speakers are in the same enclosure. making the speakers treat eachother as passive Radiator speakers. They should have their own sealed enclosures. thats why when one is active the other one is being moved. It will throw off results.

Just don’t buy component speakers for a car unless you plan to use a dsp and run them with an active crossover. Otherwise just use a coaxial.

The reason why the kicker has more cone movement and less bass is because the enclosure it is in is not tuned as well to the kicker speaker as it is the Alpine. I’m not saying the kicker has more bass in general than the Alpine, I’m just pointing out a fact.. You can clearly see the Alpine cone area is much greater than a Kickers. It’s going to move more air. Had you put the Alpine up against the CS component it would be a much closer comparison though.
