Let me guess, after so much time growing the roses, searching for the wreath & crown recipes only to retrieve them from a friend after nothing came up, crafting wreaths & crowns & selling them for a ton of bells, you have started to become a little blue?

They really should've made a way to break down an item that you don't have the recipe for down into a recipe card. Like, have a blank recipe card item that costs nook miles, and you take it and an item to a crafting table, and you destroy the item to turn the item to a recipe card. It could create a whole economy around trading recipe cards.

It seems like the 2.0 update made it much harder to get flower recipes, since there are so many more cooking recipes the villagers could be making. I'm trying to get the last 10 or so flower recipes and it is hard to do on your own....

I just hope the next game lets us do Bulk crafting cause god it takes forever

I feel like making blue wraths for your friends is good or selling it on nookazon is worth it, but if your gonna pick up flowers for it and make alot of them, its not worth it. So if you wanna do it, its your choice to waist your time or make them for bells or your gift to your friends.

Watching you run through the island of blue roses is beyond satisfying! I finally gave up and bought one blue rose on nookazon to help finish out my flower collection 😂

I have personally found that when trying to breed flowers to get the rare ones, it was much easier to let it happen naturally. It took a bit, but that's how I got my blue roses. Edit: I have both recipes. Should have played the game before leaving a comment. 😅

Actually I just did the math for you.. 16 billion every 2 days about 4x per week would be aproximately 3,328,000,000 bells per year and divide by 365 you get 9,117,808 bells per day...100% worth it imo lol XD I dont do it though because it feels like a chore. Im playing other games atm lol

I always wanted the blue rose wreath DIY, and I planned on buying it from Nookazon but never went through with it. Low and behold, I found it on an NMT island.

I wonder if it is worth it to have as a side resource for “hot items” sales. It’s random, but it is entered into the pool once the recipe has been learned by the rep… Also I feel for you, playing in the early days and waiting for the 3x day villager crafting rotation makes searching for specific crafting recipes solo a drag. .. even with the extras you can get with island tours, kappan island tours, and the dlc. I think the luckiest people got was communities of friends who would open and coordinate recipes to each other thus multiplying chances exponentially.

They added in SO MUCH new DIYS and Cooking Recipes thats so difficult to even get the flower wreath diys that you want. I don't get why the RNG in this game is so mean sometimes.

I still don’t have Blue Roses period. Also, 3 villagers will craft/cook a day but you have to wait at least 3 hours before each recipe.

Ik this is annoying not being able to find it but in a sense ig it kinda keeps us motivated to play lol (: keeping it alive like me for example I STILL HAVENT FOUND THE STUPID CUTTING BOARD

The lengthy set-up aside, if you're fortunate enough to stumble upon the recipes randomly, I actually find Blue Rose to be the most consistently profitable thing in the entire game, unlike Turnip (prices fluctuates w/ RNG involved), catching bugs/fish (spawns have RNG involved), Money Rock (usually 16500 Bells per day), Money Tree (averaging 21000 Bells per day). My flower garden has ~100 flowers and I'm earning ~120000 PER DAY. Anyway, here are the benefits of doing Blue Roses: - It's super profitable (1000 Bells raw to up to 2400 max, tied w/ Gold Rose) - It's the most space efficient (1x1) - It's easily reproducible, just like any other flowers - It's harvestable every other day - It requires 0 maintainence cost, unlike crops that require watering like Pumpkins - It requires very few button presses, only 1 to pick up (1000 Bells/press) and 3 to make a Wreath (3333 Bells/press) In summary, I find Blue Roses to be the most consistently profitable, generating up to a daily 1200 Bells per square and you can plant as many as you want. The only downside is that the set-up requires *some* work since you might need to follow flower breeding guides and be lucky for both the flower itself and recipe (or you can get it from others online), but after that it's super smooth sailing.

if a villager can give you the recipe for a diy they know, idk why there cant be an option fro the player to write down the recipe for diys they've already learned. like it could be an option in the diy menus, "write down recipe". this way you keep the recipe, and you can gift it (or sell) to those who don't. its just not reasonable to make them entirely random, and you can only trade them if you don't want them, or if its a dupe. its especially awful for the more rare recipes. if ur gonna have learning recipes from your nps friends as a a main mechanic, theres no reason you shouldn't be able to learn recipes form your real friends.

Moneymaking/grind style play of animal Crossing is what burned me out when I played New Leaf. My dad was very fascinated by the turnip stock market thing but he had work during the day so he would often have me time travel ahead on 3 different saves (one cartridge, one on my 3ds, one on my mom's 3ds) and then buy and sell turnips like crazy, and basically most of the money would be his and I would get a small salary of it. I hated this. It made me feel like I couldn't play the game normally because I had to make as much money as possible. I think I had a breakdown over this at one point and then never really touched new leaf again. My dad heard this and I think it's the reason he never made an account when we got new horizons. I love animal Crossing but I absolutely hate how competitive it feels. Like you're failing if you're not upgrading everything as fast as everyone else or don't have friends who got crazy lucky and can give you good stuff. I might go back to wild world or new leaf now that the pressure is off

I got the blue rose wreath before I knew the potential about it. I didn't know blue roses costed the same as gold roses, and I was farming gold roses. I currently have a few patches of blue roses, but a large portion of my island is dedicated to 600+ gold roses.

Well, I may have to start selling blue rose wreaths on Nookazon. But for the life of me I can't seem to find the elegant couch, the little leaf table, or that white doily rug that everyone else seems to have.

Same here. I've had the SAME ISLAND for the past 2.5 years. At this point if I come across a recipe I know is really a pain to get (or heavily sought after), I honestly exploit whatever dupe glitch there might be in existence, then give them out for cheap or free. Because the recipe system in this game is just maddening.

koramora, I FINALLY got the Blue Rose Wreath DIY tonight which I can't even begin to tell you just how UTTERLY RELIEVED I now am to have gotten it. I started Animal Crossing New Horizons right at the beginning of 2023 and now 1,525+ hours later of receiving it from Willow!

Been playing since launch and had no idea you could plant flowers on the beach until seeing this video 🤦🏻‍♂️

You actually want the 10-flower wreath recipe instead of the 6-flower crown recipe since otherwise you are converting Rose into DIY product at a 40% slower rate. As in, you would only be selling the crowns made from 240 Roses instead of the wreath made from 400 Roses each time before your pocket is full, so you should appreciate the wreath more.

I feel profoundly lucky for getting both.

My first island is the opposite. I'm pretty sure I have that blue rose recipe but I don't have any blue roses.

But like, what if you get the recipe for either crown or wreath super fast, then you would instantly have a decent way of consistent extra cash every like 2 days. Not an entire islands worth but still like 30 plants is like 60k bells.

i think there’s more efficient ways to get bells, blue roses are good once you have one, but the time spent making it isn’t worth it :/ love your content kora!

I’m having a hard time getting the blue roses. It’s the only hybrid flower I don’t have. I’m using orange and pink roses but they’re not producing the “hybrid” red. I don’t have the recipe for that either. You’re one step ahead of me 😅

I think kora is wrong on this one. I think shes jaded by her self torture. Should you make your entire island blue roses? No. But are they a good money maker? Yes, in fact, one of the best in the game, even without crafting. Blue/Gold roses are a bit of a mission to get, but early game while your island is empty and you're still thinking of what your want to develop, youve got all the space in the world to do rose farming. The key to rose farming is volume. I got my blue roses as a non time traveler in just a couple weeks. Because i planted like 50 of every seed rose right away and had them ready to be used when needed in the bkue rose process. Wasnt long until i was cranking out hybrid reds and then i had separated blues for cloning and a huge chunk of hybrid reds to keep making more. Did a similar thing with Gold's which are way easier, but dont reproduce. But the point is, once you have a decent patch of blue/gold roses, you have a spot where you can pick up 1000 bells every 2 days with no upkeep. Its one animation, not like fruit trees, shake, pick x3. Just pick, thats it. Nothing competes with that. People are all "But an inventory full of ocean creatures, easily 60k" you know how much faster you can pick 50 flowers than go dive a full inv of creatures? She hates it cause she did a full island. Income per time and income oer tile on blue/ golds is 100% worth

koramora, how did you acquire the Blue Rose Wreath DIY? And is there a certain time of day regardless of the month you're in for receiving the DIY from one of your villagers? My bestie is "Cookie" who is a white/pink dog that if only I could marry her in ACNH! Plus I have about 5/8 of the Northern Hemisphere covered in Blue Roses which is why I'm needing the DIY for making TONS of money bell$ with along with the Turnip Stock Market and my Peach orchard that I can net about $425,000 altogether as they're my favorite non-native fruit. But would help to have a few apple, pear & cherry trees for my "Garden of Eden" I have prepped up for, including a rose rainbowformation.

I don't like to time travel... buuut I did kinda make multiple users on my switch just to farm more daily nook+ bonuses, beach DIYs, and Money Trees.... cause they all get their own 🤣

The best DIY I found was the cash pile. It costs 30,000 to make, but you sell it for 350 under bell boom. You make 50k. Rinse and repeat and you’ve gotten a money making method that only requires time; no other resources. Yes the DIY crafting is tedious but it forgoes having to have an entire island of blue roses. Much respect to your hard work to the video!

Also take into consideration that blue roses regrow flowers every 2 days so thats 16 million every 2 days if you kept up with it. Now you should redo the math 🙂

I say you got worth out of it for having a project to play towards, and for getting a video topic. Surely your year of no rose recipes was more interesting than many villager hunts I’ve seen, many which involved thousands of tickets. Plus you gained many other items, potentially very valuable ones, depending on whether you did your dailies in the skipping ahead time. And you kept your Nook Miles. If you had done this over the course of a week or so limiting time traveling it probably would have been considerably more comfortable than your self imposed ordeal. Just saying. The way you did it was not worth it.
