Was running this team yesterday but with lanturn in the front and was just getting walled and beaten. Saw this and switched it to altaria lead and just went 5-0. What a difference swapping the lead makes.
About the matchup between Altaria vs Whiscash at 19:40, you only lost because of bad timing when throwing your first SA and you let them sneak a fast move, which cost you 2 turns. Just try to improve your timing when using 1 turn fast move against 2 turn fast move and you will win those kinds of match up. Hang on there Z
I took a break over xmas as I was hitting a hard wall, and was going through my mons to see what I could build for GL. This was one of the teams I considered due to the limited amount of mons I have with good PVP IV's, and your video convinced me to give it a go. Went 5-0 in the first set!
@@adrianmacklin418 I'm getting the most random teams at 2100 elo 1 team someone running shadow Mewtwo, 1 team someone is running bastiodon seetlix , one team some one is running bastiodon, it's pretty much up and down the same elo sadly for me every set I change my team I get hard countered
11:20 first thing I thought when I saw your team in this video: what happens when it faces *that* team. In my ELO range (2400s) I’ve been seeing that team everywhere, so I actually took notes over my last three days of sets. Out of 75 battles, 23 opponents were running *this* team with Bastiodon and S-Vic/Wigglytuff in the back. My team has no wincon against it so I resolve to try to win the other matches. I may need to switch it up.

I know constantly getting comments about fast move timing is annoying (although good engagement) it genuinely is frustrating from a viewer perspective when it loses you the game. Appreciate the improvement making me want the watch your videos all the way through
@KushDaddySenpai It's not terrible but if you have the extra elite tm's I would no doubt go moonblast. It's less energy and gives the chance at an attack drop. But if you don't have the extra tm's to use it definitely does work
I know some people may not like it, but would it be possible to pause for a brief moment in those situations at 4:34 and explain why you thought they had a flyer in the back. I’m assuming because Galarian stunfisk came in instead of something that wouldn’t take super effective from surf since stunfisk could have dealt with alteria?
Yeah! So Gfisk was likely their hardest counter to Altaria (only thing worse is like a Bastiodon lol) and since they came into lanturn with Gfisk, it was a tell that it must be something weak to Lanturn (typically a flyer because they cover Gfisks weaknesses)

here's my idea for a pokemon what about probopass i have a nundo and its moves are really useful and has a usefull typing too but i am never seeing it in gbl why?
Other Pokémon fill its roll better. It’s a bulky steel/rock type that serves predominantly as an anti-flier, anti-fire, and anti-fairy. Bastiodon fills that role better and you’re not likely to see two of that specific niche of mon on the same team in GBL
@@siva6272 True. I would say, if you want to use it then go for it. Just make sure to team build well around it, and don’t use the nundo. You’ll lack the necessary bulk
@@siva6272 Skeledirge is amazing and Politoed is solid. A pokemon I’ve been seeing surprising success with: Shadow Poliwrath with counter, power-up punch & scald on the lead. I paired it with double legacy Dewgong & Ninetales. Not the best team comp, but most times Poliwrath is able to punch stuff down
