Oh my God I'm a wild child from the seventies and I have to tell you this Myles is unbelievably unequivocally so ridiculously talented! Not many I see these days that can match the masters of my era 60 70s and this guy my God, no words. What a cutie patootie too!
That's because i'm a addicted fan of them. Myles has changed his vocal technique to sing with slash and to save his voice. Compare performances from 2005 in Astoria and 2011 in Wembley. He's using a nasal technique, he can reach any note with so less effort but it sounds bad (at least for me). Compare when he sang in The Mayfield Four, the notes were all sang with the head voice :v
+Guilherme Nunes I've been following this group since 04 and seen them twice. I've seen Myles perform 3 times with slash in recent times. I'm an enormous fan of both Myles and mark. His voice doesn't sound nasally at all to me. Agreed on some videos you see he is but specifically in this video I think he is superb. I can't argue with the mayfield 4 comment. I think your correct. As you get older you change. He can't blast out every once of voice forever. If Myles (sounding nasally to you) keeps him making records for the next 20 years then I say bring it on. His worst voice is still better than most
When Myles Kennedy sings, his beautiful voice always takes me to a better place!! Myles and Alterbridge go way above most rocks bands and deserve that recognition!!!!
They did not have a deal with the radio because they were required to change their music and since they did not want that, they made their own production. That is why they are not known as much as they should be.

I know right! I remember watching them (especially Myles) when they first came out and they were awesome but now they're just perfect. Love these guys.

They've played this acoustically many times, but I think this is their best version. Couple that with the amazing sound engineering, it really is album quality.
I love Alter Bridge They don’t need the goth metal image of the day and death death death and demonic themes that every other band of the day needs to be relevant. Beautiful music that rocks with amazing vocals and great riffing and soloing. Their songs do hold emotional meaning to them too. Which is a lot more than can be said for most metal bands who just wanna write something to thrash and headband to… Just such humble respectable guys
Andrew O careful there bud. I don’t know if other bands NEED to address things like that just to be relevant. I love AB they’re one of my favorite bands. But I also love bands like Periphery which does sometimes go in that direction but thier songwriting and direction is amazing. Seems a bit broad
Both are good tbh. Alter Bridge get pretty heavy at times, literally some of the heaviest riffs I've ever heard come from this band. What makes them so great is that they are the perfect blend of heavy, melodic, emotional and epic without veering into cheesiness. The way they avoid the trap of cheese or sentimentality is by writing lyrics which are meaningful, truthful and questioning. The music comes from somewhere authentic. They're one of the very best bands working today and have been for a long time, although they are successful, the band is still imo underlistened to because they write music that they enjoy, not all of their stuff is radio friendly, and most rock stations don't play 7 minute songs with multiple solos. It's a shame that that's the way it works because so many people are missing out on one of the best band of the last 20 years.

I'd like to see Myles do some Acoustic work with Richie Sambora. Myles rich tenor/sopano voice and Richie's rich blues voice and guitar (both of them have great song writing and guitar skills.} I think they could come up with some really great stuff.
Did anyone else notice that tremonti keeps his guitar absolutely still the whole time he plays ? Kinda cool idk how he does it. Most people move their body and stuff and move as a whole, but he stays still. It’s neither good or bad I guess but I just noticed lol
