Great tips! Sometimes women's jeans look great everywhere except the waist and butt grrrrr! I've been researching how to fix that and might delve into the flute region next on a pair of expendable jeans to see if I can do this! Thank you! With respect, your camera was really close to your task so it was a little difficult (for me) to differentiate along the way where you were on your pants, might have been a little clearer if the camera were a little farther back. Obviously you do what works for you but just throwing out a perspective xo

This is a great presentation. Since I had drafted my own trousers, I use the pattern to adjust the curve, never thinking could pin without sticking myself and unsure get good results. Now know different, appreciated. I have a puzzler of a question. My stomach has no more fat (no fat to pinch), yet gotten three inches larger. What happened? TIA.

watching your content is like visiting a zoo but instead of animals theres constant adherence to norms. I suppose its to balance out not adhering to the norm, that "men arent supposed to sew".

I don't get it. Is he taking in just the lower part of the back seam down to the sweat patch or the inside leg seams at the top? The latter would presumably tighten the area at the bottom of the seat. Or is my geometry wrong.

Too bad you don't cover the double seam seat because I'm holding my son's jeans I need to hem and alter and they have that double stitched, tacked down seam. Uggh... I guess he can just have a baggy butt as long as the legs are taken up.

Lots of good information. I have been having issues with my work pants. I had the seat taken in and the thread keeps ripping and the outside seam (the part taken in) rips while the original seam is intact. The pants are not tight and I have dress pants that are wayy tighter. Any ideas on why? My tailor stated that nylon is cheaper so not as strong as it was🙄.

How much is too much to downsize a pair of men's khaki's? We have several pairs of size 40 but need to alter to about a 36 in waist, butt and crotch. We moved from US to Norway 5 years ago for husband's job and just trying to avoid buying new because these were only worn a few times.
