Very nice. I often use wrapping paper from my shopping to cover my notebooks or even flyers from art or museum exhibitions. The B6 slim notebook that I carry in my purse is covered with a flyer from a wisteria garden. A lovely burst of purple flowers. I’m glad to hear that your daughter is coping. Watch her carefully if her medication is changed as this can sometimes trigger extreme reactions. Also, give her one of the lovely covered notebooks and ask her to document her food and drink intake as well as her environment, you and she might be able to identify a pattern of behavior or mood changes based on diet or environment. It might also help her to feel more in control and give her a coping mechanism by writing things down. Keep safe.
First time I've watched you. Love that paper. Daisies are my favorite flower. My nickname is Daisy. I always distress my books. I've made several and gifted them. Everyone loves them. Thank you and for no bad language.
Loved this. I just got a composition book for my birthday and never thought to decorate it but now I cant wait to decorate it. Bless you for your talent. Prayers for your daughter🙏
Thank you so much Lori! I love that paper pad and have been hoarding it for some time now because I can't seem to bring myself to use it unless it is something for myself...LOL
Thanks Dayna. I’ve tried to cover notebooks but they never came out right because I cut my paper to size first. I’m so happy to get this tip to trim it after you glue the paper down. Thanks. I have been keeping you and Emma in my prayers since you first told us about her. You’re right, it’s tough to be a teenager and I’m sure it’s even tougher during Covid-19. I’m sorry you have been in pain too. My husband has a chronic illness (leukemia) and sometimes it’s tough to keep your spirits up and just do the day-to-day. Mostly, life‘s a blessing but there are those days when it’s just hard. Take care... 🤗🤗🙏🙏❤️
So glad this tip helped, Vicky! I followed several tutorials on covering them by cutting them to size first and they just never fit right. So I tried it this way one time and have never gone back because they look great every time! Thank you so much for your prayers for me and Emma. It is such an encouragement to me.❤❤❤
Thanks so much Tania! You really could do this project with any notebook as long as it didn’t have a spiral or wired binding. However, I will have a tutorial coming up on how to recover a notebook that does have a spiral or wired binding. They are also easy to do.
I use my grandkids school books with their work in it. I use the pages and leave the interesting work exposed. I've turned them into memory books for them and recipe books.
Hello, I have a question. I bought this type of notebook, I am left-handed, so I don't know how heavy the pages of this notebook are and if they are suitable for left-handed people like me
Hmmmm….I am not sure. I don’t have any experience or knowledge of what type of paper is eat for left handed folks. I am so sorry! My thought is just to use a few pages in your notebook to see how you like it before taking the time to decorate it.
Ahhhh I see. Sorry about that. Lots of companies make this kinds of notebook so I think the quality of paper is going to be varied. However I bought mine at Walmart and I would not say that it is super flimsy or thin. It stood up to being coffee dyed so I would think it would be ok.
