Altered Composition Book Tutorial DIY

Love this project...love all your vlogs.. you have not crafted with the lady that used to craft with you in a long time.

With a cover as beautiful as this one, I would have NOT ruined it with decorations.

I'm new to your tutorials but I love these because I buy a few of these occasionally and I would love to decorate it like yours, similar. I love eclectic style and to take a 50 cent notebook and turn it into something like you made. It's beautiful!

This is the first time here. I wanted to see how you fastened it and what with. Plus, I wanted to see how you cut your paper and aligned it on the composition book. Some tape the book and use the whole pageant then cut off the excess, some cut the exact dimensions, which scares me a bit, and then sticks it on, which you did. I’ve never done this before and a bit nervous, but I’m excited about using all kinds of bits and bobs like you’ve done. Yours looks amazing and I’m happy I watched the whole tutorial to see how your mind worked. I think you’re an artist, whether you believe so or not. An artist doesn’t just paint or sculpt, they create, just like you did. Thank you for this tutorial.

Beautiful! Plan to try this. I covered mine with fabric. Also I added a piece of lace to the more feminine ones. I totally wrapped the notebook and they turned so well.

I was lucky enough to be gifted one of these wonderful altered composition books. These hold up well and do make great gifts.

01/26/2020: Great idea, I like this and it turned out really cute, but for me, I would also decorate the inside flaps, in addition to, creating a sturdy diagonal pocket right in the middle of the book. TFS!!

Very happy to have found this video. Only watched a few minutes of it and knew I wanted to decorate some books. But I had to first let my H know to check our Dollar Tree to see if they had any of these wonderful calendars! Sure enough they did!! He bought 3 of them! While he was gone , with my negative thinking I figured they would be out..........but I lucked out! I had in the meantime looked on ebay. sure enough people are selling them on there for 1.99 to $8 or so. with shipping to get one it would have cost me from $5 to $10 each......so I am a happy camper. If someone really wants one there are about 25 up on ebay at this time. anyway thanks! I plan to check out your other videos, I want to do some boxes etc who knows maybe I will even do a planner and make my life more organized! Thank you Jean!

I love this inexpensive yet classy looking project! TIP: If you rub glue stick over the adhesive, it will give extra time to position it on whatever your adhering it to without sticking!

I have a huge compliment for you as I have spent several hours youtubing art journals. amongst Gurus and the newbies & you have a clear soothing voice. + great style. by saying that what I want to mention is some of the other artists have noise or bad microphones. This may sound silly but I'm highly sensitive to sounds and as I'm trying to watch these other videos I can hear them licking their lips (geez drink a sip of water and mute the microphone) &/or they are breathing swallowing mumbling in the mic. so needless to say your video was very presentable and easy to follow might I say not distracting in any way. Good job.

Just in case anyone else watches, it's easier to put the paper on from the binding edge instead to the outside edge. Also make your paper a little bit bigger and just trim off excess with scissors. Put the tape onto the book instead of the paper.

I wish I would've seen this video beforehand. I have tons of papers and embellishments I've rounded up at Michaels (have to go back tomorrow). I am going to make a scrap book with mines.
