My parents who were Somali spoke about how alot of Russian expats and military families used to live in Mogadishu during 60s to up until the civil war. This was during our socialist era. Most lived side by side with locals. Also I like that add many Somali's went to study and go to military academy in the Soviet Union. There are a few hundreds who know to speak Russian.

Most of this follows the What If The Federalist Party Revolted video's timeline. Japan was Weakened After losing the Russo-Japanese War, Italy would be weaker, but most likely in the minor sense, still being a good ally choice for Germany.

This imagination does have Basis, South Africa developed an Afro-European culture. and the Russians did eye the region. and I don't understand what you mean by Somalia conquered the region in the 15th century? that has no immediate impact on the modern day. Somalia, much like any other nation, isn't special. The only ounce of special Somalia does have is that its incredibly Fucked Internally.
