VVN -i think your correct on CCJ bill being a influence (for my money selling out) and being from those days myself. I will comment All that being anon, making weird stuff to be avante garde - subtle maybe, but definite influencial, It made dance music grow up a bit. For my money it was a shame IDM/Braindance was a bit pretentious about it - i mean Intelligent Dance Music was such a unnecessary alienating label what if your thick like me? Great to chill headphones but not really dance tracks a lot used on car adverts or as backround at art galleries. it was just experimental music - almost Piss Artist- richie from cornwall knows what i mean! TY buddy nice share great research again!
