Ok I can't believe it took me this long. Seen every Good Eats episode, love Archer, saw the Lucky Yates comment. "Oh that must be DungeonMaster's actor," keeps scrolling. "Ok...why are people making Kreiger quotes?" Scrolls back up. "Wait isn't Kreiger's actor Lucky Yates? I remember seeing the name on the opening credits all the time. HOLY CRAP!" This is seriously why I love Good Eats.
You two play off each other so well. Please, PLEASE release the blooper/gag reel for this shoot. Guessing you might need a few warnings at the beginning though... adult language, adult content, be sure to go to the bathroom first, etc.
I just adore your dog(s). I understand your basset hound passed away a number of years ago, but that dog convinced me and my son that we NEEDED a basset hound. I'm happy to report that we now have two basset hounds, Buddy, a tri-color whom we've had for eight of his ten years, and Bailey, a lemon basset that we've had for almost seven of her eight years. Both dogs were rescued from homes that no longer wanted them and weren't taking good care of them. We adore the bassets! We got lucky and got two bassets with tight lips and very little drooling. In fact, Buddy never drools at all! Baily only drools a little bit after eating or drinking. Thank you, Alton, for influencing our canine companion choices. Basset hounds are truly great dogs!
Yo, I'm glad this channel is getting sponsors and making money. But I cannot personally recommend Sally's 2nd hand surgical supply (by the mall). I went to buy some spare scalpels there the other day. Seemed fine, sharp, but rusty. Perfect, really. But as soon as I started ummmm... scoring with them... the blade fell off! I went to try to get my money back and no dice.
"Dentist. Mad scientist. Same thing." Might make these for my cousins on Christmas, or at least make the strongest ones for the older kid and the pleasant ones for the little one.
Only Alton Brown would, in 2019, decide to shoot a food video in black & white and in the 4:3 Academy aspect ratio, all as an homage to classic monster films. Love it.
You are the reason why I have my cooking channel here and I made my 2nd Halloween special video making soul cakes. That’s Alton for being an inspiration to me.
He got he chuckling at "He won't know we're there... at all.. he'll be asleep" like I could almost hear Clive Anderson buzzing him but then when he started miming taking a rip from the sugar cylinder, I fucking lost it
i was soooo afraid...to miss a syllable...that i didn't blink or breathe til it was over. this is honestly some of the best, funniest content i've ever seen on youtube! lucky yates = da bomb!
Spookingly good recipe. Reckon I'll make up some with extremely hot pepper powders in it for my friends with a sweet tooth. They will never see it coming.
I've been atching RU-vid videos to try to distract myself from the Corona Virus freek out. & this suddenly came up in my recommendations out of the blue. & I have to say that I haven't laughed *SO* much since this whole mess started. Thank you Alton & Co. for distracting me for nearly 12 & a half minutes from the nightmare raging on around me. Keep safe & see you all on the flip side. 👍
I'm glad good eats is coming back. I love to cook and he taught me a lot of basics. Plus all his shows are genuinely entertaining. I love his since of humor.
Thanks for showing us how to make gummy worms! And your little doggy is cute! I got paranoid for a moment, when I saw the display of gummy worms, because I thought, is Alton psychic, or what?! How did he know I was craving, and eating sour/sweet gummy worms, right at about the same time he was making them???!!! It's a trip. Hope you had a good fun Halloween, Alton. 🎃👻🦇🕷🕸
You never really remember how bad audio used to be, until someone makes modern audio sound bad. The real horror, IMO. (I bet the script for 'Ygor' was "Annoy The Dentist whenever possible." and to that I say: Good Ygor. As a reward, you get to clean the moat again. Here, don't forget your lucky straw!)
