i do on some to see if i will shit myself or not i went on swarm i was mentally prepared but horor struck i liked but only ended up going on the walking dead coz the centre of my chest hurt and i was with my school so its not like i had a long time to go on things but i did win prizes so it was a fun day and now i love swarm

I haven't been on rita yet due to I've only been once and it was going with my school so the queues were huge but I would love to go on the Oblivion backwards, it would be just like the first drop on the Valahala (sorry for spelling my phone is broken) at Blackpool Pleasure Beach which I've been there every year
Why do people always over react to the ride air..like me I can literally fall asleep on that ride it's so relaxing..I'm all about oblivion and nemesis.
It is a family ride(so for any age if your tall enough) 7 year olds can go on if tall enough, abs it's not scary lmao, like a watered down oblivion. The rest is kinda boring
I swear they don't give you enough leg room in thirteen, who else thinks that ? Also who's ever sat at the back on thirteen, scariest shit ever, never again.
Air is so underrated, the fact that its a flying coaster and does an amazing job with the height limit plus that intensity without an enormous pretzel loop. B & M did an outstanding job.
I agree! I think that all the rubbish with VR was a huge waste of money although the re-theme to Galactica is alright. I just wish they would add something to that grotty tunnel at the start before the lift hill.
Nemesis: i had my eyes shut the entire time but it got me over my fear of upside down rides! oblivion: absolutely fantastic. went on it three times, i loved it. air (now called galactica): my vr flew off my face and hit me in the head but it was fantastic! thi3teen: I LOVED thirteen so much, the drop towards the end shit me up! rita: broke my neck, but was my favourite ride other then the smiler
It's amazing, Nemesis is the oldest ride in this video by quite a margin, and yet it still remains the finest coaster in the park. Most coasters are better from the rear cars, due to the whiplash effect. But, the front is the ONLY way to ride Nemesis. Anyone that hasn't gone for the slightly longer queue for the front, hasn't experienced it as the creators intended.
We went on a school trip here and oblivion got stuck at the top for like 2 minutes and when your stuck failing head first down it seems like a life time! And we went on smiler and it hailed just as we set of! It hurt soo much! But we weren't going back after queuing to 2 hours!
Going in June, I go every year. The smiler is just out of this world :D but yeah I can't wait! My favourite is Rita because of the pure exhilaration of it

as someone who has only recently started going on rollercoasters (thanks final destination) it’s fun to look back at how rides have changed to what i’ve seen now
This is how to properly film a POV. A chest mounted GoPro. Do not get out a phone and start recording, not only will the ride operators see and e-stop the ride, but it also presents a risk that it could fall on another person and seriously hurt them. I’m assuming they also gave you permission since your camera is pretty obvious and securely mounted. Thanks for doing it right.

Finally went yesterday :D Nemesis best ride ever, oblivion was closed all day though :( The smiler is amazing, hopefully the novelty wears off in a few months and the queues die down a bit for it though!
@@apexcow3698 doesnt feel like it but it is lol, but in reality rita is the fastest because it has more speed on the whole track where oblivion is the drop to the end of the tunnel if yknow what i mean
I like that Sonic Spinball rollercoaster. It allows the riders to create their own movements on the track. Part of the car spins. This is a real, "gamechanger" in rollercoaster technology. That is a whole new concept. I hope I get the chance to go on a coaster like that.
Nemesis is definitely more fun, but I would start by going on air. Air has mainly twists and small loops which go a lot slower, whereas nemesis is faster and the way you are sat means the pressure is a lot different!

@@alexsmith-rs6zq I was one of the first to ride the smiler in the dark I go platinum wristband and get priority in all the ques so as soon as it was getting dark we headed straight there and was let on first 😉 It was amazing I love everything at alton towers do you do the scare mazes?
jayney xx yeah it’s a fabulous ride, sounds like last time I went. Got on the smiler 3 times in the dark! I was one of the first to ride 13 way back in 2013. I’ve never been through the scare mazes, they’re definitely on the list.
i already replied to this, must have been deleted for some reason. I don't mean height to 'get' on the ride, im not stupid i know they are there for a reason. i mean the rides themselves, they can only be a certain height so they can't be seen outside the park, that is why some of the bigger rides in alton towers are in pits and are shitty colours. i suspect miserable locals.
It's a conservation area which is why there are the height limits. The coasters can go above the tree line but must be disguised to blend in, hence the darker track on the higher sections of Rita.
Just a tip if you're going to Alton towers anytime soon, if you go on Rita or nemesis I would advise you to take off your shoes before you get on..mine flew off both times I have been. Once on Rita and another on nemesis
Charlotte Salmon You don’t wear flip flops with no back on nemesis or rita. I wear proper shoes. Somebody losing their flip flops is the reason we were held dangling at the end of the ride on nemesis the very first time I rode it.
I loved air/ galactica it was so relaxing but my friend seemed really scared for it in the queue and all through the ride she was just screaming in my ear, it was hilarious 😂😂

Good job. I'm glad you went on the Smiler by yourself. If my family/friends don't wanna do something, then I still do it! I don't mind waiting 2 hrs by myself.

i’ve never been good with roller coasters but my friends tell me that alton towers is amazing. like i only went on my first loop the loop at 10 and a major theme park at 12. i just feel like alton towers would either throw me off coasters or make me more into them 💀😭
ive never been to alton towers bc i used to think smiler actually hypnotised you and i was hella scared lmao but now I'm older i would love to go to all of these
