Altra Vanish Carbon 2 Review: The best road ultra super shoe? 

Ive done like 200k in mine, and only during one run (16k at 5:14) i had shaving at the heel. Really strange, havent figured out exactly why just during that one run, probably bcause i wore my most loose fitting socks. If it happens again i might cut them like you did, it does look a little bit ghetto though so ill try not to, i dont feel the need to right now. I find these shoes amazing in general, the comfort is incredible. I have a 2nd pair as a back up, i dont want to train in anything else for quite a while. This "pop" people talk about thats supposedly missing compared to alpha flys or whatever i dont miss because luckily i have never tried any adizero, vaporfly etc shoes. The breatability in the vanish carbon 2 is off the charts, very underrated in my opinion, my socks are not even wet/sweaty after long runs.
