Netflix Castlevania Nocturne Episode 8 final fight Richter Belmont meets Alucard for the first time after killing Drolta Tzuentes. Alucard Dracula's son reveal. #alucard #ritcherbelmont #castlevanianocturne
Alucard just misses trolling Trevor so much he waits for each of his descendants to be on the brink of utter defeat to save and then lowkey-taunt them. Genius !
@@muin2038This is 300-400 years since Trevor and Sypha. The Belmonts are back and presumably in this series, the Belmonts are the people they kept in the village so we have a group of Vampire Killers again. Richter is a direct descendant of Trevor and Sypha. And Alucard, presumably had just slept probably after Trevor and Sypha died or maybe in this series after Greta died. The question is if Alucard left a descendant but in game, Maria is the only possible "romantic" partner he had once she turns 18 which is 2 years after this series. There's also Sonya but she is non-canon.
Yeah, he killed thousands of Vampires before them. So he is the most dangerous and fearful to all supernatural beings. They're never forget the name and the son of the true Lord of Darkness.
My God seeing Alucard appear felt like seeing a friend you've missed seeing for years. PLEASE Netflix make a season 2 of this and don't cancel like other shows 😭
The eclipse perfectly symbolizes who and what Alucard is. The product of a rare meeting between light and dark. Love the shot where he's in front of it.
I must've heard that boast, thousands of times. At the end of the day, you'll die, just like every other vampire that has tasted my blade. "And perhaps I shall, but there is a certain honour to it, to fight a foe, on even footing, something these cattle, will never understand."
I love the little "hmm" he gives when he says "and on the brink of utter defeat." Three hundred years after he fought Dracula and Death with Trevor and Sypha, and you can tell he's smiling on the inside at the thought of getting to fight alongside a Belmont again.
@@TRIT_RAM He's gonna look after Richter and maybe even teach him some of the tricks he, Trevor and Sypha used in combat. This is going to be great. Uncle Alucard- back in action.
I love the shock and disbelief on Drolta's face as that sword pierced her heart, an ancient vampire of her status was defeated in an instant by a vampire barely a few hundred years old, no grand moment, it was over in an instant and she wasn't even an afterthought. She obviously suffered from a superiority complex in that she was used to fighting helpless mortals and never fought against someone that powerful before.
@@mr.magpie2 all the more reason why knowing when to stop and assess a situation is more important her single minded and unyielding pursuit of Richter left her open for a sneak attack
Whether your one of those people who is disappointed in this show, somebody who had a great time with this show, or somewhere in between, you cannot deny that THIS scene was awesome.
Eh I feel this will be about as bad as what they did with Dracula where his character was really interesting but they wrote it in a way where it doesn’t really make sense for him to return when that’s the whole point of castlevania. Similarly here it’s cool for alucard to appear but merging richter and alucard’s story rather than separate ones that lead into the other sort of lessens both of their stories
The fact that Alucard is also proud to declare he is the son of Dracula and trash-talking Richter Belmont with "You must be Richter Belmont. Complete with whip...hmmmm...and on the brink of utter defeat." even if they just met makes his comeback even better.
Just when all hope seemed lost, Alucard (son of the most terrifying vampire ever) appears as the salvation to all humanity. The shot at 1:17 and the music just captures the moment so well, it's utterly breathtaking.
What I really love about this scene is how much Alucard’s intimidation methods contrast Dracula’s in Targoviste and yet they produce the same results. Like father, like son I guess lol
@@nyx3988Both tbh are similar. Both display it with violence but one does it in spectacular fashion while the other does it simple and brief but the effect the same.
The amount of joy I felt seeing Alucard cannot be expressed. It was like seeing an old friend again. And the absolute confidence in his voice, there is no mistaking his power.
@@agungmarpaung6366I mean we're talking bout a guy who manage to have an equal footing against Alucard and defeat Death while living to tell the tale. I think that's enough of a resume for Trevor to practically beat Drolta.
The fact that all the vampires took a step back the moment they heard Alucard's name tells you all you need to know how terrifying he is to vampirekind.
@@ssppeeaarr which means that after his revival Dracula either just decided to live in peace and still is, it his revival didn't make him immortal again, and he died at some point.
ya maybe but he still looks like a vampire in that ending. and maybe they even went to see alucard. he got his family back. lisa passed on naturally. drac still lives on in his castle maybe... peacefully. since alucard says son of dracula with pride. @@joshuaarnett762
Symbolic.. He was blonde in the first castlevania and had a more human facial structure.. This alucard has brighter golden eyes, snow white hair and skin and looks even younger.. I think it shows how over the centuries he eventually lost his more human physical features and finally became full vampire in appearance but still keeping his human heart..
So another interesting thing to consider. Richter had his "Bloodlines" theme play when he had his moment. Listen for Alucard's. When he turns and says "you must be the belmont" the music building up during that time is the leitmotif consistently used in the first Lord's of Shadow Game.
@Kageoth There were a lot of times in Nocturne where the music gave me LoS vibes. But yes, this is definitive the LoS leitmotif. I cannot wait to hear more musical references. Also, did you know the Belmont crest in Netflix is also from LoS?
@@Crichjo32 But that evil persisted, in spite of that, and outlasted the good of Trevor, Sypha and Alucard. Hence, season two's answer to eternal death with an ever rebirthing hope. Similar to Bleach’s ultimate message of accepting death with the courage to always move forward - something Richter, Maria, and Juste will probably learn as they move forward. Just as Alucard had to learn in the original series. Damn, I love this show.
@@MichaelisBLee And good will eventually win out at the end of this new series too. I guess it's like an old pendulum, it swings back and forth between good and evil being victorious.
They did their homework on alucard. Hes literally the belmont family's guardian angel, their protector, their friend. The one who shows up when stuffs going rough.
That shot at 1:18 is like a renaissance painting. Alucard with the eclipse behind him, extending his sword towards Richter. The music, the script. All of it. Chefs kiss.
@@MaxBraver555But he does get stronger with age. He was basically a teenager when he was with Trevor now he is more like a freshly graduated college student in terms of vampire "aging".
Alucard’s appearance is truly magical. He appears like some surreal creature from tales, who was meant to be just “a myth”, who’s existence seems impossible Great music, appearance and voice -these things make Alucard look like almost a God, but a God on a good side, in the opposition of Batory Amazing scene can’t wait for next seasons!
Seeing Alucard again was both awesome and sad. Great for him to be there to help out but sad his old teammates Sypha and Trevor are long gone, he still continues and will continue long after Richter. Seeing him made me think of how much he missed them and longed for his old friends.
Man, what an ending. It’s like what the "old man" said, "Evil always wins." Besides that, I'm glad to see my old friend, Alucard, return with his official Symphony of the Night look.
Evil may win at some point, but they will never be victorious. The isn't the end. In fact, true battle isn't starting yet. The moment Alucard shows up, that's where the true battle begins. Quote by Edmund Burke: "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". Richter Belmont would not stand by and just watch. If Erzbeth and think the fight is over, she and her forces had another thing coming. Good thing Alucard joined up. I didn't expect he would appear earlier. Welcome to French Revolution.
No your all missing the point Evil doesn’t always win that’s the meaning of Alucard appearing the point is whenever it seems like all is lost there is one sliver of Hope that can cause a greater fire anyone ever knows pushing back the darkness and making it your bitch……….that and Alucard is more bad ass than ever 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I love the voice acting of James Callis as Alucard. His voice perfectly portrays the melancholy of Alucard's existence; a boy who was forced to kill his own father and a vampire who is destined to spend eternity hunting down and vanquishing his own kind.
I couldn't help but notice the way he had his cloak/cape outstretched like a set of white wings, against the white corona of the eclipse...almost 'holy', like a 'savior' in that moment...
I’m curious how he got there. Does he have access to the portal mirrors? He has access to all of Castlevania, his fathers castle, AND the Belmont stronghold after all….
@@eternasapphiremoon81 Even as the Son of an Evil Vampire, he outshines his roots and heritage to do good and help fight back the night, where Dracula's name gives dread to those who fear him, Alucard's gives fear to those who are afraid of The Light....
Given how he looked in the original series and how he looks now, paler skin, longer whitened hair, a different expression in his eyes, it’s clear that immortality has taken its toll on the guy after being separated from his dear friends for all these years. But after he turns to them, a small shine of hope is clearly seen and heard in his voice. Hopefully we get a season 2 and we get to see more of Alucard.
Honestly yes, the last season of Castlevania with Trevor and Sypha, they did not do him justice.... Edited: let me clarify, I am not referring to Alucard’s appearance. I’m referring to how toward the end of the season, Netflix made a scene where Alucard gets r@ped. Seriously? Y’all def did not watch all the season.
@@astridvalencia7937 well he was a teenager. When everyone thinks of alucard. Is not Castlevania III . It's symphony of the night. The clear distinction between the two shows gives his symphony of the night inspired design a hell of an impact
Alucard: The reason why i awakened is to make sure your bloodline doesnt go off the beaten path & before you ask, no i dont want to make babies & expand my cursed blood over & over again, im going to make sure i dont get my ass handed to.
The entire series I kept saying, I hope Alucard is still alive in this time line and shows up, and then last 3 mins (best 3 mins of the series), here he appears. Perfect finale and I CANNOT WAIT for the next part
I mean Alucard is still alive at least all the way up to 1999, though by then if I recall (it’s been nearly 20 years since I played the aria of sorrow games) he’s now going by Dracula
That doesn't mean he's not real. 300 year, he's been fighting the forces of darkness. Now he's back to aid Richter just like he did before centuries ago with Trevor.
Well seeing Alucard as a vampire, IS akin to Meeting the "GRIM REAPER" sooo... in the man's defense he's spent 300+yrs just slaying other vampires for just being d-ck bags to humanity..so it makes sense they'd be scared sh-tless of a guy who's slaughtered a 1/3rd of their kind litterally solo. Also he made slaying their "Big Bad Boss B-ch Queen" look like a joke to him.
“I am Alucard.” Love the pure fear that simple statement brings to all the other vampires. This is the son of the world’s most legendary vampire, who defeated his father alongside the last Belmont and a potent sorceress. And he just casually dropped a demoness who was outmatching a Belmont, two magicians and a knight. No wonder they don’t want any part of what he can bring.
Let's make one thing clear: Richter wasn't "outmatched" by the demon lady. Until her mistress interrupted their fight, Richter matched her blow for blow and was steadily gaining the upper hand
Alucard got his cheeks spread by a Dracula that had been starving himself for months or even a year. Dracula could've neg diff all three if he wanted it. A starving Dracula took a point blank Morningstar whip and just shook it off.
As much as we all "love" Alucard, technically his dad let him defeat him. Dracula was easily winning and could have killed him, but he wouldn't kill his only son. His humanity came out in his love for his son and "let" Alucard kill him.
Kinda disappointed in that sentence, i would absolutely have thought the name dracula would run through this universe for centuries as almost a god and place in history
doubt it due to religion and such, it makes sense that the events of the castlevania netflix series got obscured or even censored to the mass public@@Hanzothagod
You know, something I noticed when Alucard introduced himself. When he said, " I am the son of Dracula," it sounded like it there was a hint of pride in his voice. This is a huge change from SOTN and beyond. Alucard always tried to distance himself as much as he could from his father. Hell, he even believed his lineage was cursed, and that's why he went for that long ass nap. Since Dracula and Lisa came back, it's very possible that they reunited with their son, and Alucard never had to slumber because he had his family back and was actually happy. With his father returning to the man he remembered as a child, it's no wonder Alucard now openly calls himself " son of Dracula." It's also likely that due to this change, Dracula most likely taught Alucard how to use his powers better and, as a result, is far stronger than his video game counterpart. Or, I'm full of crap and just looking too deep into this. Lol
I never played the games but it seems Dracula always comes back and is still evil. I'm not sure if these shows stay true to the games or not but I figured he'd be a villian again up until being killed permanently by Julius Belmont
@@caliside7449I know the writer has expressed interest in exploring Soma Cruz as a character so its possible that Dracula returns to being a villain to facilitate that.
@@caliside7449 this series is an entirely different iteration on the story. Originally he lost Lisa and forever lost the humanity his wife tried to bring him, now he had her again and was able to live a full life with her. Currently we don't know if he's around or dead, but with Lisa lived her full life with him, he's more than likely an entirely different character from the original lore
It was the easiest way he could have let the enemy know who he is as they too are vampires and vampires unlike human know exactly who Dracula is. The undisputed king of all Vampires. Not someone like Bathory who is still to gain control over all Vampires.
nah, you're not full of crap. It's totally possible that Alucard's pride in being the son of Dracula stems from his reunion with his family and a newfound sense of happiness. And hey, looking deep into things is part of the fun.
Played the Symphony of the Night in 1999 and now seeing from this series the evolution and the layers of Alucard personality with this completely unexpected end of the season! It just gave me some minutes of joy. And oh boy, The details! The details!!! The serenity and confidence of Alucards voice. The background music 1:40. Seeing how the makers stay true as possible to Ayami Kojimas art... Is an awesome time to be a Castlevania Fan. Thank you to all the people who put the effort and energy to create this. Thank you.
Dude he couldn’t have appeared any better! He shows up and literally ONE-TAPS a vamp they’ve been having trouble with. This was so amazing I’m so glad to see Alucard back.
Not just having trouble with, it took the three of them combined to even land a couple clean hits on her! Then Alucard just swats her, practically one of the main antagonists, like a fly. God I love this show.
To be fair Richter (w/ assists from others) WAS about to smoke Drolta before Ezrebet showed up. and this was a backstab. but yeah he is built different
I love this scene. When everything seems lost and suddenly Alucard appears with epic music and has simply killed one of the 3 most powerful enemy vampires in this season. I love his looks. He looks 100% like he does on the symphony of night cover. Now I wish I could watch season 2 right now.
I knew Alucard was part of Richter's story yet his appearance still took me completely by surprise! What a fantastic ending and Season 2 cannot come soon enough!
In the game SOTN, one of the most beloved if not the most beloved entry in the series, made it so that it's now Alucard's story and no longer Richter's.
a complete new story since drac isnt here and in netflixvania isnt pure bad guy. ...anymore. so its gonna be interesting to see how they do SOTN or just remake it their own way like they did with rondo here. this aint really a rondo adaption lol. but ya hyped and curious to see what netflix does. @@user-pi1lb4tf2f
@@user-pi1lb4tf2f Richter was under a powerful spell due to his overwhelming desire to defeat Dracula and after the events of SotN he handed over the vampire killer to the Morris clan so that the Belmont clan will take a leave of absence until 1999.
I’m more curious if the town of Belmont and the Belmont Hold are still around or if he still has the mirror for teleporting. That could explain why he got there out of nowhere.
I screamed when he made his appearance. The producers didn't disappoint. Since the moment they announced Nocturnal, I've been saying if Alucard doesn't make an appearance, I'd riot.
of course he would return. this is the entire plot of castlevania symphony of the night. the story is still too long. there will be generations and generations of belmonts that alucard will help. even today the story of castlevania still isn't finished.
SAME! As I was finishing the series if Alucard did not make one single appearance in the show, I did not care how good the show would be, I would immediately rate it a 0/10.
@@JaydenLyleHylton in another version of castlevania. dracula is more than just a vampire. he is no longer in a vampire category and more like his own monster entity. he will be the one to bring down both heaven and hell. hell for always pissing him off and heaven/god for always killing his wife. no matter how many dimensions and alternate universe he goes, god is there to always give him the same result. the death of his wife.
Now THAT would have been the entrance point for Alucard. Holy shit. Just as they’re all about to fall, “I AM the vampire Messiah!” Kills Sekhmets henchmen, “Are you now?”
Most underlooked line in this scene: 2:03 "Who's Dracula?" It's both funny because we as audiences understand the significance of Alucard & his father, but also puts into perspective that fact that so many others in the world do not. Dracula is a figure of the Old World, before Europeans knew of other continents existing west of the Atlantic. He surely knew about their existence, but they did not know of him, showing how even the greatest of historical figures can be unknown to those living on different sides of the world, with their own histories.

@@botanicalitus4194This makes me wonder what Olrox would think of Alucard and Dracula, since like Annette, he's from the other side of the sea, but he may or may not have been around longer than Alucard.
I love how theyve brought him more in line with his SotN design. I also love that James Callis is voicing him again. I couldnt picture any other voice for him now.
I love how Callis almost NEVER raises his voice as Alucard, but the character never has issues being heard. It adds to the otherworldly mystery of the character; Alucard as a dhampyr isn't just a watered down Dracula; he's a union between the love of a great monster and a great woman, something entirely new and awe-inducing.
“Whip, getting your ass handed to you… yeah, you’re a Belmont alright.” Is how Alucard probably greets all of his nephews and nieces when they need a hand.
Saying I am Alucard is one thing, has sass and impactful fear on everyone's face, but saying "Son of Dracula" makes it twice more impactful, considering how he's the strongest character in the verse's son.
The whole season was just tragic for the characters, it was so fitting to have Alucard appear at the end as the glimmer of hope. Way to go Castlevania, can't wait for the next season
Not gonna lie, I didn't like the storyline in this season. I almost wrote the damned thing off, if they hadn't shown Richter going buck wild with his new magic powers. This Alucard scene convinced me to stay for the next season.
I get someone having problems with Annette/Richters whole deal, but if the issue is pacing and over exposition I don’t really see that as an issue given how the last show started out.
@@billqiu4692 They could have wrote Annette's character better. I get it, she's a strong female character but making characters act like a$$holes isn't gonna make you win hearts. They should treat Annette's character like what they did with Isaac. I freakin loved him by the end of Castlevania. He was my most favorite character even more than the main trio
So hyped when I saw our boy! Iam glad that despite the passing of his friends Trevor & Sypha he’s still got reasons to live and fight all the bad vampires can’t wait to see what our boy Alucard will do in Season 2
oh, totally alucard's appearance got me pumped too, even though he's been through a lot, he's still standing strong. can't wait to see what he'll bring in Season 2.
It feels me with joy how much I’ve missed Alucard his Design looks sick So we can finally see him and Richter become close friends just like he did with Trevor!
Ya know, part of me was almost sad to see Drolta go. She’s such a deliciously evil villain, very fun to watch, and so tough to kill. Though Alucard got her from behind, I suspect even in a straight on fight she wouldn’t have stood much of a chance.
That's like saying "the sky is blue". There's no 'suspect' about it, the Alucard of season 1 would have beaten her without much effort, the Alucard we see here (over 100 years old) would crush her, surprise attack or not.
This scene is truly amazing. Imagine building so much momentum around the figure of Drolta: invincible, powerful, cruel, to the point no one dares to get close to her. In the whole series she’s never been confronted by anyone out of pure fear. And yet she dies in split seconds, finished by Alucard. The way all the tension breaks in the scene is great, amazingly written. Really goes to show how truly powerful Alucard is in comparison.
I actually think she was a bad character; too much talk and not enough bite. But I agree that the scene was amazing; I was just waiting for someone to finish her off.
@@witchivy5905 Sacrificed to build up our boy's entrance. We all knew she had to die. She was just such a b****. But no one expected her to go out so soon.

2:11 I love that shot so much, Richter, Maria and Alucard, the heroes of symphony of the night, the son of Dracula, a Belmont and a magician will fight together once again.
Maria needs to up her magic. The beasts are super cool and their animation is top notch (still needs to summon the dragon though) but I feel magic overall was nerfed after Sypha's feats un the previous series.
@@danelwind2574 Actually, I like the fact that main characters aren’t super op from the beginning. It gives a space for a great development and at the end we appreciate the improvement more. That’s why everyone loved Sypha. In first season she barely used magic and each season they managed to amp creativity with her spell casting. If the magic was nerfed, I don’t know. Nocturne take place 300 years after first series. Not only Belmonts evolved in combat but vampires as well. Magic was still very effective but when Erzsebet appeared with her insane god form and deflected everything like it was nothing. Sorry for my english. I’m sure they saved the best for later. High hopes for next season, because I’m little worried about possible cancellation due to negativity spread about „woke content” and Annette whole thing.
Honestly, this reintroduction was a perfect way to make us remember that he means business. We spent the season seeing Drolta being a real problem for all of them, so for Adrien to come in and oneshot her like this was great
Alucard didn't save Richter, and Richter wasn't frightened that Drolta was darting him. He was handling her all over the Church. He was shocked because he saw Alucard behind her
I loved how they added Juste Belmont's little back story.. and when Alucard showed up, I just got goosebumps..when is season 2?!! This got me so hyped! From Trevor,Sypha,Alucard team up, now Richter,Alucard,Maria,Annette what an ending
@@onikuromaruToo bad he wasn't given a chance by ellis though on the previous arc just so he thinks it was stupid to bring him in that they even did hector dirty, glad the man got fired.

Dude when he appeared on screen in the shot of him stabbing Drolta with the eclipse in the background I literally screamed “OH MY GOSH” with my hands on my head and nearly fell out of my seat. Idk if anyone else can relate but as soon as I saw him I literally FELT a wave of joy through my body and got goosebumps. What a perfect way to end the season! So excited for season 2.
I love this trope how you have a Dragon type character (Drolta) who is a big threat to the main characters. Then have her one shot by another character just to show how leagues above he is from everyone else. It really gives hope in a depressing finale.
Same! I'd love to see more of his backstory and development. And his relationship with Mizrak was severely overlooked, I reckon some flashbacks about them are needed.
Hated him when he killed Richter's mom then he dropped the "Your mom killed my lover" and I was like damn. I fw him heavy after finishing the first season
Olrox is on track to becoming another """""good""""" vampire (good in so many quotes because vampires are evil in nature - mostly)... if Richter doesn't kill him.
I find it funny because this vampire orlox didn't commit e massive killing on humans for killing his love one instead went for the killer of his loved one haha
He does that in Symphony of the Night (though Annette is nowhere to be seen in that game), so it makes sense for him to be here (even though the story here is different from the game since Dracula ain't a villain anymore).
