Castlevania Season 4 Episode 9 (2021) Scene: Alucard, Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades Reunite vs. Vampires and Night Creatures Fight (Reunion) TV Show Info: www.imdb.com/title/tt6517102/ Watch on Netflix: www.netflix.com/ #Castlevania
Alucard: As if my day wasn't going badly enough, It's Trevor Belmont. Alucard on the inside: OHMYGODGUYSYOU'REBAAAACK!!!IMISSEDYOUSOMUCHPLEASEDON'TLEAVEMEAGAINI'VEBEENSOLONELYANDTHINGSHAVENOTBEENGOODFORMESTAYWITHMEILOVEYOUGUYSSOMUCH!!!!!
Its literally the dynamic of family which i absolutely love!! You see family you think "oh my goodness brother how i have missed you!!" no you go "hey what's up dick breath" and then hug and get to work
Sypha is that cheat AP. Alucard is that beginner friendly All rounder, has it all skills. And trevor is playing on hard mode but has the most broken exclusive skill/equipment.
Trevor is the powerhouse he never has nearly as much trouble as alucard does in most fights especially once he gets the combat cross and whip of the Morningstar
I love how well thought out the tactics of these fights are. At 1:49 Alucard and Trevor immediately realize that Sypha is preparing a strong attack that needs time to be ready, so they immediately move to cover her. At 2:12 when the new monster prepares to fire it's attack, everyone immediately moves to dodge because they don't know how strong it is. But the second time it fires at 2:19 Sypha knows she can catch the blast because she has already gauged it's power. This isn't just mindless action, these are skilled and experienced fighters who know how to approach a battle strategically as a team. And the animators/writers really put in a lot of effort to get that point across.
To further add to how in sync all three are, Sypha catches and holds the blast from the mouth creature, letting Alucard flank it and punch it in the face to interrupt the beam and create an opening for Trevor to finish it off, then as soon as they realize it's gonna blow up all three immediately take cover under Alucard's shield and Sypha's ice barrier.
Every good action scene animation or live action should look like this. Each action should cause a little problem or solve a little problem. Am i on the ground? how do i get up? Is it attacking? How do i counter? Am i blocking for her? Is she blocking for me? When do i strike? Where do i strike from? You see that in this fight all the time. Especially that spinning shot as each of the characters cover for each other. Alucard has to duck an attack and he swings under Trevor to intercept. Trevor makes an explosion and Sypha uses the fire. These fights are so great because everything is intentional and logical. And if the characters make mistakes they get punished for it. Sure sometimes there’s some showmanship for the views but everything stays cohesive.
And at 1:23, they noticed Trevor stopping his assault and his blade making a sound, turned to look at him and immediately ducked as they realized what he was gonna do.
@@mr.q337 they didn't exactly defeat dracula. He just wasn't crazy enough to kill his son but he could have definitly handled those 3, to me at least he remains undefeated and I kinda like it that way
Well said, amazing anecdote, but you should know the Golems are made from converting living beings (humans and animals mostly) into stone automatons through alchemical means (we're seeing the dark side of Rinaldo Gandolfi's research).
Sypha is a fine example of how you write great female characters , she belongs up there with Ripely, Ahoska and some others . Its a shame Hollywood doesn’t get that idea and forcing the woke crap down on us.
Isn't this the most perfect of the scenes of all? Alucard's wide eyed gaze when he realizes, Trevor's casual "Evening" and also when he throws away his cloak to reveal the Belmont symbol and the main theme song plays and the trio attacks in the most badass way and also how in the end they run in three directions to save people! I must have watched it like a 100 times!
I gotta say, I love the evolution of Sypha's magic. In season 1, she barely used it for combat, more as a defensive and practical tool, and in season two, she evolved to be more of a combat support role. Also, she first used lightning to trap the castle in her strongest display of magic yet. In season three, she clearly learnt to use it a lot more aggresively but still kept a distance and used it more for terrain and zoning, and she was starting to use lighting a little more regularly. Here, she's learnt from Belmont and overall experience to adapt her abilities to any situation, including close-quarters combat, and is chucking lightning left, right and centre.
I won't lie... I got a little emotional when Alucard noticed that whip and fireball, and then all three stood side by side. Finally reunited with his besties! Also, that thumbnail deserves to be on a metal album cover.
I like how when Sypha stands in front of the giant fire-breathing night creature to redirect the flame, neither Trevor nor Alucard protests that "it's too dangerous!" or something like that. They each know how bad-ass the other is.
I know right?! After all it's a video game adaption and they did a brilliant job with that. Like there are small army of easy mobs and there are also "boss fights". And through the series the characters "level up" getting better weapons and new abilities. And it's feels like a normal anime too. It's just bloody brilliant.
@@itsoracle time. People become stronger over time, especially these people. Alucard doesn't necessarily need to "train" since he's half vampire, after all.
Trevor might not be as strong/fast as alucard and doesnt have magic like sypha but his weapons are too damn destructive. He’s got most lethal set of weapons in the series
@@reymalone5666 His weapon is lethal, sure, but I'd much rather take Alucard's sword over Trevor's Morning Star. Whips have very poor defensive capability and the range is limited by the chain length, compared to the sword which can be used while restrained, at a distance, defensively, etc.
Reunited, they're such a badass trio. They knew what to do without even arguing or even speaking after they took down the wave of vamps that came through the front doors. And they know how not to hurt one another or others when fighting...their teamwork is flawless, their friendship not so much(but we love that too).
You know in the original game, this group of heroes were a party of 4. I guess the writers behind the Netflix series had no idea how to use Grant Dynasty. Edit: I just realized the new character, Greta who resides in the town of Dyanasti, might be the place holder for Grant Dynasty.
It’s not a small thing, it’s badass as hell Trevor once hide it out of shame/guilt and because others would kick his ass if they got to see it But now he no longer hides his lineage as he fights with a purpose once more alongside friends that understand him
It's funny, but Trevor and Sypha have upped their respective games enough to be as damned deadly as Alucard in their own ways by this point. Here Alucard seems to be having more utility playing vanguard and the terrifying wall while Trevor handles crowd control and Sypha... Sypha one-shots whatever comes their way.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how well-rounded the females were in Castlevania? From Lisa Tepes, Sypha, the Vampire Sisters, and more, we saw really smart, clever, and battle capable/strong women who could hold their own making them _assets_ to people close to them. They never cried and/or gave up in a battle and never expected a man to come in and save her ( _glances at Naruto, Bleach and more_ ). Outside of fighting, females were kind, empathetic, feminine, and willing to just _listen_ if it could help them grow as an individual _and_ help the entire team. I really hope there are more multifaceted females characters like this in the future.
The weakest female major performance by far was season 3-4 Carmilla, when she was no longer surrounded by emotionally stunted males (esp Godbrand) to serve as foils for her cool calculation
Also, I love how they handled marginalized groups in this show too. They didn't center their entire characters around the fact that they were POC, queer, or women like a lot of shows do they just wrote characters that happened to be those things. We need more representation like that.
is a netflix show bro xD, and it would not be completed if the one red hair guy dint got turn to poc, A.K.A Issac; i do like the character but, this just keep happening more and more lately
Something that I absolutely loved in this scene is that because we didn’t hear the theme song the entire season, they decided to play it during this battle which was awesome
@@robinanwaldt it didn't? Must have missed it somehow. I did kinda binge watch the entire thing so I didn't really realize when I transitioned from season 2 to season 3. I'll pay more attention when I rewatch!
@@ankitakatyal8836 I mean, it only makes sense. Season 3 had nothing to do with Lisa’s death and Dracula’s ambitions anymore. I would have wanted them to just make a new intro, but they didn’t for some reason.
@@demochris1786 It's an archetype, not a strict social definition. She casts spells and sucks at melee, so she's a spellcaster/witch/enchantress/whatever in RPG terms. If Castlevania saya she's a Pumpkin she would still be called the same.
@@demochris1786 If you type I will read, but regardless of they being the same or not it's not the point here. Edit: Isn't a wizard exclusively a male term? That should be more evidence to my original comment mentioning the archetype instead of her job.
I love the subtle detail of the team’s formation rotating from alucard being in the center to trevor and ends with sypha. This highlights how each of them are not just any side characters, and they contribute a lot to the team. Amazing.
Amazing, sypha never runs out of magic. Her max level is 99 same goes as everyone fighting against super elite BOSS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 mana Regenatarion and dual cast magic.
When the band comes back together for a reunion tour... and chooses NOT to have any of their old music played. Despite dressing up and looking like they were just about to.
Trevor and Sypha’s entrance is and always will be one of the most cathartic moments in anime for me. First time I saw it I got chills down my spine and I still get them every time
This series was incredible. Trevor and Sypha fought amazingly together and Alucard was amazing on his own. But with all 3 of them together, the way they act without speaking to each other and know when to act in tandem with another’s attack, it’s god tier teamwork.
Right? No talking needed, just building on each others attacks one after another with fluid coordination. Raise your game all others! This is the apex of teamwork!!
Sypha is exactly the kind of mage/sorcerer I always want to roleplay in RPGs. She literally had 5 lightning balls ready behind her like how in Dark Souls we have the Homing Crystal Soul Mass spell ready. That scene was so awesome. Flying through the air with her fire spells, made a bunch of spears fly from heating them up then cooling the wall to launch them.
Having played Castlevania Symphony of the Night, it's so amazing to see Alucard with his Alucard sword, Leap stone and Wolf spirit be displayed through animation in all of its glory. I can't believe they really nailed the action sequences and sound effects. It's so compelling to watch and I consider this the best adaptation of a video game series so far.
@@triple-d2640 I'm also a fan and it's still a mess 🤣. Why do people think being a fan means sucking up to everything that is Marvel or any other brand.
The moment when he sees the fire from the left side and the chain on the right side. You could see in his eyes that he got emotional because he knew at that moment that his friends came (without being asked) to back him up. Honestly, I got emotional myself.
He did try in season 3 to "connect" with 2 humans only to be betrayed by them. Belmont and Sypha came to his need in his darkest hour, without a summon, without a gain, without anything. Truest of friendship. And Alucard sassing Belmont immediately, is a great example of it!
These 3 together are not to be fucked with. The writers and animators did an amazing job making their fights fluid. The use of either combination of the 3 playing off each other's abilities creating devastating combos and protective assists . Masterfully done
Love how coordinated they are... Tho, we must admit, the boys will have a veeeery hard time without Sypha Edit: I saw a comment from a Sypha video somewhere that her pregnancy might have boosted her power. In a lot of stories, some babies can have magic. So she may have two mana pools that's why she has a ridiculous magic stamina. This could easily be not the case, but it's nice to think about.
Trevor's morning star whip arguably can be considered superior to Sypha's magic. It was the weapon that pierced the boss's armor and blew up his arm at the same time. Sypha can do something similar with her lightning cutter or an incredibly large icicle but one requires dangerous close range and the other requires a longer cast time.
I love how seamless character development is in this show. Throughout seasons 1-2 Sypha only ever used fire and ice magic. In season 3 we see her struggling to summon electricity for the first time, and by the end of S4 she already wields it like a pro. Same with Alucard, he went from only using his super-speed to dodge attacks, to using it offensively, and then combined it with a shield bash for maximum damage.
That moment when Alucard realized his friends were back and they could all start kicking ass together again with the fucking highlight of the fight. Also once again Sypha had the highest body count.
Love how they’re straight to business after being away for so long. Quick quips cuz they’re friends but straight to the fight cuz they’re professionals.
I loved the power progression on this show. In season 2 when they attacked the Castle they fought maybe 2 dozen Vampires, and while they won they did struggle a bit. Now after a few months of various battles they face a LOT more Vampires as well as 3 powerful Night Creatures (not counting the group they killed coming through the portal at the beginning) and they're not even a threat to the Trio. I'm looking forward to the spinoff following the Belmont descendants, but I REALLY wish I could see more adventures with Trevor, Sypha and Alucard.
I honest to goodness got chills during this scene, Alucard's face when he realizes his friends are back. He didn't even have to look for a moment he just knew they were behind him figuratively and literally.
I genuinely cheered so loud seeing Trevor and sypha make their entrance. Alucard's witty response of "as if my night wasn't going bad enough, it's Trevor Belmont" is so perfect and captures their relationship so well. Not ashamed to say I cried a few times in this last season, sad its over but happy it happened!
This was one of the best fight scenes of the series. Alucard sees the odds and is getting ready to accept death and his friends are there to have his back
So many actions in such a short fighting sequence that I have watched this more than 10 times and continue finding new details. This just proves that the the three of them are so closely bonded to each other that they are actually like family by now, it is the ony explanation for how they can coordinate so many actions so seemlessly.
Photographer: "Okay, Sypha, Trevor, Alucard. I need you three to do an epic pose. The 2:57 mark of this video. Photographer: "Yes! THAT'S IT! That's awesome! Stay like that while I take 100 pictures of this and use up my camera's memory" 🤳🤳🤳🤳🤳
when they all linked up and did that charge at the beginning, it really felt like a DnD squad decked out in top tier gear charging into battle. loved it.
Both of the most epic battles the trio have fought, they did so in Dracula's Castle. The first time, they were invading the castle. Now they're defending it. That's poetic stuff right there.
Trevor knew where the portal would take them and was simply happy to see his friend also love how alucard was staggering before trevor and sypha showed up then he went beast when they arrived almost like he held back stalling till they got there
Pretty much the three of them are. Yeah Trevor isn't op on his own but with the tools and intelligence he has he's impeccable, he literally just walked up to death and killed him quite easily. Alucard is the son of dracula and doesn't have the weaknesses. And sypha is basically the avatar 😂
@@thecockneyterritory4869 yeah they all make up for each others weaknesses like Sypha’s powers are crazy powerful but her durability is low & won’t throw hands. Trevor doesn’t have powers but his weapons are OP af, a elite hand to hand fighter, & strong. And lastly Alucard is powerful on all the things minus the weakness to silver or somethin?
I love it when a complete lack of a plane comes together. These 3 have some of the best teamwork and synergy I’ve seen on a show, every time they’re all together they become so much more than the sum of their parts. Always a delight seeing the hunters together.
I thought the Team 7 summoning moment was great in Naruto but now that moment has been WAY surpassed by the reuniting of this trio. They are GREAT! They have such team work, I kinda wish Alucard's gf saw them in all their fighting glory because they KICK ASS! Great season with fight scenes that were given the respect with great animation.
Individually, Belmont’s history, trainings, knowledge and weapons, and raw talents, then add sorcery to that brought by Sypha. This two, they produced the vampire’s bane. A bloodline that only brings death to vampires and any evil creature. Then there’s Alucard, immortal guardian of their descendants. Richter could grow into Trevor’s maturity and wit, and Sypha’s innovation in uaing magic in combat and he’d be one of the most powerful Belmonts to live. Sypha truly was legendary in using her magic in combat.
Well, I'd like to add, that Belmonts are basically superhumans, designed to destroy night-creatures. And yes, magic brought by Sypha made a serious impact on Richter's, Juste's and Julius's stories. I mean, Awakened Richter soloed 4 vampires using only ~Season 2 Sypha's abilities and his fists. I imagine, how strong Richter will become in his final season. Your comment is brilliant, btw👍
This whole episode was a fight scene and it was glorious. How amazing it is to see how the trio started off to being separated for so long and fighting together as if they had never left each other. An unlikely friendship that will last a lifetime. I still do wish we would’ve seen the reunion with Sypha’s caravan. Honestly i would’ve loved to let them see all the change. That Dracula’s son has taken over, that they’re all friends, that her and Trevor are in love, that everyone is happy and safe, etc.
