Who installs a refillable gas bottle in a motorhome?
You do not need to be a gas specialist to install a refillable gas bottle, but it should be installed by a qualified specialist company. Refillable gas bottles are generally not prohibited if the product is certified accordingly. The costs for installation may vary depending on the vehicle and system.
You do not need TÜV approval for Alugas Travelmate refillable gas cylinders.
Pressurised containers such as the Travelmate refillable gas cylinders are subject to a 10-year test. The Travelmate is available in 11kg and 14kg or 27L and 33L. A refillable gas cylinder for motorhomes, such as the TravelMate, is equipped with a multivalve that has an 80% filling stop.
The installation visualisation from this video shows a safe way to install the Travelmate with the CAMPKO gas bottle holder and quick-release star grip screws, which can be removed quickly and easily. The CAMPKO LPG filling point is fitted directly to the Travelmate using the DREHMEISTER adapter. This results in a redundant system with two shut-off valves.
