Hiking the Alum Cave Trail to Mount LaConte is so fun, Christie and I had so much fun. This is a trail that you want it to be clear weather because of all the breath taking views.
Going to lodge to spend the night in Sept. Very nervous looks very scary to me. I've been as far as the alum cave and that was quite a challenge, so hopefully I can make it. How much harder is the part of trail from the cave to the top?
Great, great country and views, I really enjoyed the banter you both both have together, you look a nice happy couple. A good marriage is a precious thing. I really laughed when you gave the voice for Mrs lamb to speak in, and she thought you said rat instead of rap. Really funny. Great that you kept in the bloopers. Really enjoyed that Rog. All the best to you both. Regards, Shane.
+Isle of Wight Bushcraft Just watching your video's and reading your comments gives a good felling and it shows you about someone's integrity also. Thank You.
This video was great! I haven't done Mt. LeConte yet; Rainbow Falls is the closest I've done. I'm hoping to get out there a lot more when school lets out in a few weeks.
What a great video! You guys are so fun. Lol. We actually considered doing a rainbow falls, Mount LeConte loop but the shelter was closed because of bears activity. Glad to see this trail was as beautiful as described.
Enjoyed the video. Loved the scenic scenes and also her cap reppin' the Vols! Love the Smoky Mountain views but the place is still too crowded for my taste.
+TheSunkenGrave True some areas are so crowded, that day we wanted to just meet and talk with people, we met a lot of great people from all over and we had the best time
+Roger Lamb If one desires to meet others along the trail then the Smokies are a good place for that. It is the most visited National Park in the country, by far. Don't get me wrong, I think it is beautiful there (although the wooly agelid destruction of the frasir furs has done much aesthetical harm to the landscape) and I have always enjoyed my visits but just for me, personally, I go hiking to get away from people and to find peace and solitude in nature. I live in the Nashville area which I love but there is always traffic so hiking is a nice brief escape from that. I tend to prefer the areas and trails along the Cumberland Plateau as one gets a very mountainous experience minus the crowds plus the waterfalls tend to be larger, yet, I could never deny that my last trip to the Smokies along the Forney Ridge Trail to Andrews Bald when the flaming azaelias were in bloom was truly a remarkable experience. I just wish the Smokies weren't so crowded as, to me personally, this detracts from my own personal enjoyment of them although I still very much enjoy it. I have a love/hate relationship with the Great Smoky Mountains which I often refer to as the Great Crowded Mountains. Great video though and one which I enjoyed very much.
I totally understand and thank you for the reply. I drive to Crossville ever other weekend to pick my daughter up, she lives in Franklin. I do want to start hiking on the Plateau.
what a beautiful well kept trail! and the views!! amazing. seems like everyone so friendly too! hope i get to visit there one day but dont think I'd survive the cold!
Very Good! We enjoyed the Smokies last summer. My uptrail71 thumb pic was taken near Rainbow Falls. It was to cloudy to get good pictures at the top of LeConte that day.
+uptrail71 this was our third try because ever time we went it was very cloudy and was very hard to see but this trip was worth ever step, so clear. Thank you for checking out our channel, we just like to have a little fun and enjoy life
That is an awesome trail. I never knew the Smokies had that to offer. I need to study up on that lodge. What is the deal? Why is it there? I hope you signed up for a cabin someday. You guys are a fun couple. Keep them coming.
We are going to wait a couple more years for a anniversary coming up and then we will. If you ever decide to come this way let me know and we will take care of you for a couple of nights.....save a little money.....
+garn fora ratch Thank you for the kind words we really had a great time on this hike as you seen. We are getting ready to load a new video and it will have my daughter's on it so be on the watch.
+Roger Lamb that would be really cool. Just took my week pto a few months ago. Went to Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado but that was before I started making videos sadly.
+Scott Taylor hopefully soon me and you can take off on a trip, Thank you for your reply. Hey Scott make sure you check the next video, it should be out tonight or tomorrow it is pretty cool.
I got one more over night hike in with some You Tube friends and then I took sick, had a colon burst and I'm just now getting back out baby hiking. I will have my latest video up in about a week. Thank you all for stopping buy.
