Hi friend! This video shows an aluminum/chrome-sided man rowing a boat whirligig. I powder coated the aluminum boat sides with some chrome powder coat from Prismatic Powders, followed by a powder coat clear coat.
I also show how I made a simple bender for bending the edges of the aluminum boat sides, which is simply a narrow slot cut into a piece of hardwood (oak).
I also show how I'm re-sizing some stainless steel 3/16" rod from Online Metals, so that it will fit through my bearings.
I also show the whirligig in action at the end, with music: Bird Creek by Hooky and Sloane, and Bottle of Something by Track Tribe.
