Imagine never being abroad before or even being on a plane, my then girlfriend's parents had a timeshare there, after arriving in the dark and just going to bed in the hotel I woke up to this. Now imagine a few years later with a different girlfriend arranging an "Alocation on arrival" holiday and arriving in the same village! I have been many times since, I havn't been since before covid and really miss Alvor and Algarve. I miss the smell of grilling sardines on charcoal that fills the evening air there.

One more question. If we don’t have a car when we go in March/April what part of Alvor do you recommend to be able to walk to pick up groceries and walk to restaurants etc. ?
