I had something similar and found that the urine clumps when tilting would break apart and clog up the holes in the sifter. I keep coming back to the old fashioned scoop.
Hi. I have this cat litter tray. What you need to get is the ultra clumping cat litter. The clumping cat litter does what you have described, and as I hadn't been able to get hold of the ultra clumping litter recently, I have had this problem too for a few weeks and till I get to the end of the cat litter I've got in stock. The ultra clumping litter acts just like the video. If you are in the UK, the best litter I have found is Tesco's Ultra Clumping Cat Litter.
@@sanders2378 I use Dr. Elsey's litter. Seriously, my cat's pee-balls rarely break up! I think they use quick-set concrete in the mix. LOL I'm kidding, but it's only when I don't keep a good amount of litter in the pan that I have issues, and it only takes a litter scooper to break the stickies free.
i hv purchased this - the piss sometimes turns the litter into gooey texture n then it gets stuck to the netted thing and its super gross to clean - or if ur cat had diarrhea - i threw mine away as such
Lifestyle360 I wondered about that- if cat pee were2 get stuck in the pan... There r many litter types tho, but I think the best may possibly be biodegradable 1s but unscented & as dust free as possible. Hope this works!
Having this exact problem. Except my cats urine will form litter into a paste that sticks to the pan. I've bought liners to try and fix this problem. May just end up going back to a scooper.
I have this box, the sifter is impossible to clean! And I don’t know if my cats just like to dig more that others, but I have to sweep up every time they use it because the walls are too shallow causing litter to fly everywhere.
I use Dr. Elsey's littler. Best in the biz for hard pee-balls and other wastes. I've been using it for about 2-3 years now and will never go back to any other brand.
I've had mine for over 2 years. Will never go back to a regular litter box. There are times when the litter gets low that the pee-balls (that's what I call them) stick and then I have to take a litter scooper to break it free, but if I keep enough litter in there at all times, no problem. My cat, however, thinks she has to dig to China with every visit, so I have to stay on top of things like that.
The sifter part is in-between the two solid pans. First pan is where you put the litter and where your cat will 'go'. If you keep enough litter in the pan, you shouldn't have a problem. There are time when I have to use a scooper to pry free a pee-ball or two when my cat digs deep (she loves to dig!!!), but urine and solid waste dries up almost immediately. I use Dr. Elsey's litter, which I swear uses instant-dry concrete. Pee-balls are quite heavy! Anyway, I love this litter box; would never go back to a regular litter pan. I've had mine over 2 years and it's in great shape. Made very well.

Unleashed and PetSmart have these pans. Worth the money!!! Have had mine for over 2 years. Will never go back to a regular pan where I have to use a scooper.
First, metal is more sanitary than plastic. Secondly this won't work because cats dig to the bottom and then bury their poop which then more often than not gets stuck to the bottom. So you'll need a metal scooper to get it off.
