The Rex was really bad like it was a new player or it just never had been a rex before. If Sticky had gone against an experienced player, maybe the ending would have been different
@@primisoda1400 He's killed spinos and cama as utah too. People always claim the players he fights as "bad" because they don't want to admit he's good.
Rex made a lot of mistakes though. He should've just did a straight run when attacked to get distance, then turn around to face the sub instead of running a little bit and trying to turn. If the rex had done that, then he could just heal off the bleed from the first few bites and the sub giga would be back at square one. Sub has to give rex a lot of distance because of how fast the rex is, it would not be very easy to get a ride again.
Rex couldn't do that because it ran out of stamina insanely quickly, I assume it didn't have full stam to begin with. Also, the rex would need at least 20 minutes to heal that bleed, rex has absurdly bad bleed heal, so bleeders like dilos and spino really need to get just a few bites in to mess it up.
@@ukan1527 you're half correct, but it's a sub giga. It's weight and horrible bleed, it probably does like 1.5-2.0 bleed per bite. It's a bad rex to begin with if it didn't have full stam. If you don't keep your stam up all the time and only run when needed it would've been fine. Rex had many times to bite. 😒
@@ukan1527 Sub giga runs out of stam about as quick in a 100 to 0 sprint and is WAY slower. If the rex had full stam to start, which it should and normally would have, then it could very easily put enough distance between itself and the sub and be able to turn around with stamina to spare (sticky was even able to do this against an adult giga in his recent rex vs giga 2v1 vid, and adult giga is faster than sub). In that situation, if the rex then sits in ambush, the sub absolutely has to give the rex a healthy distance because the rex is MUCH faster, and so the rex can just chill and heal off bleed for as long as it needs provided it keeps facing the sub. Sticky was very lucky here, no debate about it. I think that if he fought a good rex player like the one in his recent acro vs rex vid, his attack would've been stuffed in a matter of seconds. That's not saying sticky is a bad player, that is blatantly false. All I'm saying is that this particular rex made very poor use of its advantages which should've allowed it to easily survive the situation.
@@taoty3660 Well, most rex players play like this rex. That's why a lot of spinos and shants drop these guys in Great Falls and good riddance XD. I`ve even seen trikes get lucky. Adult gigas are usually better players than rexes and usually avoids them in a head to head fight. At least you know you can beat the average rex players that has less than 10 braincells as sub giga. By the way, sub gigas is actually a really good bleeder when given the chance. Don't underestimate that. I doubt its 1.5-2 bleed per bite against an adult rex. I am including the weight too. They also out damage sub rexes too. mobility is what makes it so bad.
Yyyeeeee I was on the server when you asked who the golden Rex was. I was so excited! I knew you made a video! I cant wait to run into you on the server, would love a chance to go against a master! 😁
I always knew the sub giga was the most dangerous mid tier carnivore. But I usually never go for a sub giga cause it just gets run down by gigas rexes and spinos. However I didnt know how good its sprint turn was making it possible to live a rex chasing you. Thank you sticky. You just showed me how to survive with one of my favorite creatures to play.
if only a velo could damage a rex. not sure about herra tho. its cant damage a giga but never tested a rex. It can damage an acro however. and if a herra cant damage a giga a velo sure as hell cant damage a rex. Edit: actually not sure if damage is right word here. it might actually. I should have said the weight difference is so large it doesnt inflict bleed. it still makes a hurt sound tho it might do damage. might.
Rex: *Vibing and ignoring Sticky entirely* Sticky: *I'mma end this Rex's whole career* Edit: *I'm really sorry if you've seen this so many times and it's irritating, but I had to. Lol.*
Adult gigas can also juke a rex chasing them as well. Best way to do this is to stop sprinting and trot turn around them. Timing can be hard to pull off and you can`t be too obvious about it. I don`t really see a sub giga getting away from a grown giga that is aware of its trot turning, even if its running at you. It can just stop and trot turn around, much better than a rex can.
Rex prob grew when 50ppl was on 100 hr player still not that good wanting a apex u see them all time i killed one as a fresh 80p cera just last night it even reported me lol
Dont attempt this but he saying dont underestimated your power a lot of giga sub just die by runing away from allo or sucho without fighting because they think are gona get destroyed
@@user-bt8zk8ib1k exactly. Showcase on the poor speed which we all knew, means your best chance of survival is to fight. Tether your enemy and wear their stamina while you auto gen with your trot. Try to get easy bites to proc bleed when they go to ground or foolishly turn their back to you. If melee breaks out, use your turn radius to land more bites and only run if you have a clear exit and tether again. This is survival... Not running away at a slow pace lol.
Damn, impressed! Even though i think this is generally a hard matchup, i thought this was almost impossible to pull off. Well done! ;) That juke was so scary! :o
I'm playing as a sub giga myself on the Isle Nation server and I'm really glad you posted this vid! ;D I might stay (full) sub giga, but I also kinda want to grow to adult XD All these hints you gave are really useful though and I'll remember them forever from now on! ;D Really ty for explaining the sub giga gameplay ;D
It's such a realistic game. I can just imagine how huge powerful dinosaurs died because they could not turn around on the spot or hit the enemy, for example, with their paws
Now what happens if a full sub Rex attacks? They’re much faster and would have the bite force advantage. Assuming they didn’t make it a long fight I’d have to think they’d win.
I honestly have no issue in growing a giga because of its turn/stam even other cannibalistic gigas are thrown off when I butt ride em (I die due the broken hit box XD, ty for confirming this too c:
I really want to battle you someday the only time i was in your video was when i was a spino in the start of the video when u died cause of utah nest construction againsts Rex
And that is exactly how I play dibble, but diabloceratops has much better stamina so there is no need to stop. Sticky, of you can use the sub-giga technique on Dibble I would adore that! Dibble needs more appreciation, it’s so looked down own whenever I’m practicing as dibble I just feel humiliated, but that quickly turns around it the whole server cheering on me whenever I take down a rex.
Combat is gonna change completely once the big update rolls around. Might be that this type of combat will no longer be a thing, unless you take a perk that lets you get nourishment from eating other carnivores.
Alt turn removes movement and positioning out of a 1v1. It's actually really trash setting that is a way to help bad players remove some of the needed skill in 1v1 or in general pvp
Ive been soloed by a sub giga as an acro, on IOFT sandbox! i didn't think you could find those players there, but there starting to turn up to practice on the poor sandboxers^^
I'm late to the party here, but I really miss Legacy and it's been ruined, for me at least, by the last few updates. And the way you bluff in this video when you're low on stamina really gives me some extreme nostalgia of the psychological battle that was included in these sort of 1v1 fights. Something they've, imo, completely failed to capture in Evrima somehow.
