To me Mathu belongs to the same group of people (encompassing David Bowie, etc) that just have this calming (almost hypnotic) aura around them that you can feel even through your computer screen.

It's also knowing you will never know enough, you will never know it all and to stay humble. There will always be younger, more talented people jostling for position in any industry. That's why Mathu is special. He knows that and is always courteous, polite and doesn't try to big himself up. He doesn't need to, he's always constantly learning new ideas and skills. That's why I like him so much.

I liked his perspective of beyonce. People forget she is not an entity. She is a person and this is her job and she works REALLY hard to look and perform that well. She must be so exhausted all the time. Same with any celeb, really. I just thought it was an interesting tidbit.

As much I love Beyoncé I can't truly see her as MY role model. She stoic and composed. All. The. Time. I'm the most vulnerable person I know. I feel a certain freedom being open, I wish people would be a bit more open as well. Especially Beyoncé since so many people look up to her.

That was my favorite part too, but she cannot be as open as she used to be when she was young cause nowadays people seem to use everything she does against her and she is under the microscope of the media more than any of the stars I know out there .. and her truly making it in that industry proves that REAL talent and hard work really wins which is why she is one of my biggest inspirations..

This is now a bittersweet tragic interview. Mathu loved Ru with his whole heart and their breakup is nothing short of tragic in every sense of the word. Especially now that Mathu is sick. You have to wonder how such a powerful love and friendship could ever break especially with such a long history.

Mathu is like another worldly hobosexual alien god who looks impossible gorgeous and perfect. I adore him, why doesn't he have a show on here?? Agreed. He's brilliant. I think the red tinting in the fingers was part of the look. He had a very henna painted vibe going on the face in red and likely thought the fingers could be ornamented the same way.

I agree, Mathu literally uses his whole body to give the look, from head to toe, I think that's what makes him so damn special and unique. I could listen to him talk for hours or just sit and stare at him, he's like a beautiful living canvas. And no T, no shade, no pink lemonade but Mathu is some years older than Justin and you would never guess it seeing them side by side. Mathu looks fucking amazing, he and Ru both must drink from the same drag fountain of youth.

To all those wondering about Mathu's amazing 'rodeo-sadhu [wandering holy ascetics from India]' look: His forehead has enamel 'deity eyes' meant for Hindu and Jain statues, and his red fingers are a nod to stage makeup for classical Indian dances (google 'red fingers bharatanatyam'). He's also wearing a Rajasthani tassel around his neck, and some Rabari embroidery around his hat. Hope that helps!

I lived and then I died and then I lived again to watch this video. I just can't fucking believe that mathu is on alyssas secret. Theyre like two opposites and also my favorite people in the world... Having a great time together. U can see how much mathu enjoys that sassy crazyness yet the sweetest soul alyssa has and well he has the most amazing mysterious and peaceful aura around him I don't make sense i know but I'm freaking out with this meeting!!!
