Alyssa Sutherland On Being In A Scary Movie When She Hates Horror Flicks 

She might hate the horror flicks, but the horror flicks love her. She was amazing for the role.

Her smile alone makes her character more terrifying, but in a good way.

She had one of the greatest performances in a horror film of all time. Magnificent.

Just got out of the movie theatre and watched it. Hands down one of the scariest horror films I’ve seen. And watching it in the theatre is a whole experience. I was literally on edge the entire time. 10/10!!

I've always known Alyssa from Vikings as Aslaug, where you know she's putting in a great performance given that she's likeable and sympathetic despite playing a character who lends herself to being at odds with the audience, and I've always kept watch to see what else she'll be in. So it's great to see her doing so well again as the face of the newest entry to an already iconic franchise. She seems wonderful.

being a die hard Evil Dead fanatic i had my misgivings going in (the problem with the horror genre is desensitisation) but its a very well crafted movie and the acting is spot on...was i scared.. well no but Ive watched all the Evil Dead films just for a laugh... and that's an awesome place to be with these films there like a roller-coaster ride and soooooo much fun

They parodied the 2013 movie in Scary Movie 5 with Mama and made the story that Mama became Mama by reading the evil book and now they really took the idea and made this movie so we're seeing a possessed mother and her children and sister instead of college teens.

Alyssa, I hope you might see this. I get celebrities confused all the time. When I first saw the red band trailer, my first thought was "Is this Katee Sackhoff? Is this Olivia Wilde?". I still thought you looked familiar and when I saw you were in Spike TV's The Mist, it then hit me! I loved the movie and was watching the series with excitement! Sad it only lasted one season. I am glad that you are getting the success you deserve. Your performance in The Mist is a mother doing whatever you could to save your family. Evil Dead Rise shows you doing whatever you can to destroy your family. Both are great performances and you deserve all the kudos you get!

I saw the movie Thursday night & OMG she was amazing so creepy & scarey... For me it takes alot to scare me and this didnt really scare me.. just creeped me out!!! I loved it.. love Evil Dead Franchise!!! Loved all the Gore, the more gore, blood etc the better!!! that's what a real horror movie should be like... and OMG the end was so gorey I had to actually turn my head but I still loved it...GREAT MOVIE!!!

So I couldn't watch the cheese grater scene and I can't look at the cover of the movie, same with the movie Smile. Otherwise I don't have many problems with horror movies bc a lot of it tends to be psychological (no jump scares) or u get used to the jump scares and then it's just understanding and enjoying it (maybe lol)
