Alyssa and the entire cast and crew did an outstanding Evil Dead job! Saw Evil Dead Rise last Sat. after seeing the first two trailers two months prior release. Then the Evil Dead Rise Q&A interviews turn up on my RU-vid feed 3 - 7 days later. Weird.

I just LOVE this movie..! The real horror is back...! 👻

When Bruce Campbell tells you to get the fuck out- you get the fuck out! This movie is fuckin rad.

I enjoyed this movie, its a good addition to the franchise and I look forward to more. Maybe a little more character development next time though if they are going to be standalone movies, make us more invested in the welfare of the characters. It's a toss up between the remake in 2013 and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn as my favourites still.

Why do they have to throw the line "lead by women"? we get it. Women can be strong, too. It's getting annoying that this is what they have to push in movies now. Let the story organically show us this, rather than force feed us this information.

It IS a shit film though. It expands on nothing, it adds nothing, it explains nothing it's an approx. 90 min effects shot with dialogue.

The movie was too feminist and WOKE...it is ok but i think it is the weakest entry in the franchise.

First off, the Evil dead 2013 movie is light-years all around better than this movie! This movie was a over hyped piece of trash! If some of you folks take of your rose tinted glasses you would realize this was a really generic ass possession movie! The acting/dialogue was terrible from the main sister character and all of the kids. The kills were just boring and forgettable. The movie also had no tension or suspense at all. The family dynamic was just the worst in the movie because none of the characters acted or reacted like a real family. You would think family members in a insane situation like this would do more than just stand there stare and just pant heavily like some dehydrated dog! There were no emotions or feelings towards their loved ones at all in this movie. It felt like they were just mildly irritated during all of the insanity going on all around them. Dont even try to use that "they were in shock" crap as an excuse for this garbage. Also the youngest daughter felt like she was in a CW drama instead of a horror movie. You mother is now a damn demon trying to kill you but you have the wherewithal to tell your aunt she will make a great mother someday because she knows how to lie to kids? Man wtf, why was that nonsense coming from a 9 year child in a situation like this? This movie sucked and I was extremely disappointed!
