5:30 - Listening to this again, I hear that you just couldn’t resist playing the those first 2 bars differently ahaha. I can’t blame you. That addition really gave an already awesome ending a bit more finesse.
Nice that you noticed! It felt convenient at the time. Though it's a dead giveaway that I gave up on the written fingering at that point. Unless you meant the LH an octave lower..
That ought to be one of the most absurd scores that have been brought before my eyes. I mean, the harmonies are very interesting and the piece is definitely wonderful music, but it seems to be written for a three-handed alien or something like that and less for a human.
It's written a bit extreme, the tempo is probably intended to be a bit faster; "molto Allegro", while I keep it mostly at a semi-comfortable moderato. It's definitely possible to play it faster overall, though some parts are simply physically impossible.
I wanted to ask: What do you use to play this? I love the reverb on this performance, and I'm fairly certain you use a virtual instrument to play the inputs from a keyboard. Whenever I record my performances in the future, I would love for them to sound like this.
Hello, Adam. Since this year, in which I have found my interest and liking for Méreaux, I have been fascinated by your performances of Méreaux` pieces. I would like to invite you to a project I founded at the start of August this year, The Méreaux Project. If you are also an admirer of his music, you would be a great help to our project! We have made great progress so far, finding many informations about Méreaux` life, career and works. But our main goal remains to spread the name of Méreaux into the classical music community, while the research about his life and such is important too. We have currently 12 people (including me) in this project, such as Seon-Yong Hwang, Gamma1734 and Demit. Those who are reading, too, can be a part of The Méreaux Project! As our "base of operations" we have got a discord server, which is the link to here: discord.gg/SJsPnSf I will wait for your answer. Thanks for reading! Sukitte
