It's always a pleasure listening to you. I always look forward to your contents because you share truths that no one seem to care about anymore. I'm happy some people, like you, are still holding the fort.
Great video 🙌🏻 I think there’s so much value in a lot of what has been said here. I would however also like to offer a complimentary perspective of joint responsibility. I think there it’s absolutely crucial not to do anything that would cause anyone to stumble BUT some people will jump to their own conclusions or assume ill intent in order to justify their own choices. Let’s take the example of going on holiday together and sleeping in separate rooms or with family and being very transparent about that. Some could still assume that you’re not being truthful about that as they themselves might not have the strength to do the same thing. Ultimately prayer and wisdom is needed in these decisions but we need to walk the fine line between not causing others to stumble but not also holding the fear of man above the fear of God
1 Corinthians 8 supports what you are saying. Paul talks about eating meat sacrificed to idols, but the concept is the same as what you're saying, not to be a stumbling block. However, Paul's example is even far more innocent than your examples. God actually tells us in one of the books not to even have the appearance of sin. And that follows from other passages that you have mentioned and from the lesson by Joseph who fled Potifer's wife. Joseph demonstrated what God tells us to do, which is to flee sin. Joseph didn't argue it, didn't stick around to flirt with sin, didn't even wait to see if it would go too far. He simply fled. Actually, we don't know if he waited a bit, or if he unwittingly didn't realize what she was intending by the time he got close enough for her to grab his cloak. Since he was their slave, it was probably unwittingly. It's not like slave masters expect to have to explain to their slave why they are telling him or her to come here.
