Railroad guy here. Looking forward to seeing y'alls new shirt prints. I really need to get my wife to buy me a few of those I/T shirts. They really appeal to me. I'm not computer savey for paying for things online. Anywhoo...I'm glad to hear your able to afford a few months off at a time. I'm working towards that myself. I wish y'all great success.

From your friend the old retired welder something to think about. I youse to do a lot of ornamental work I fabricated barbecue pits, porch swings, log racks etc. I had a lil store where they they let me put my stuff to sell. Just something to think about

Love going up to Stillwater. My great grandparents lived there before they passed. My great grandfather was a huge fan and public figure with OSU. Everybody used to know his orange stenson. lol

Hi austin i have a old black face welding machine every time i start welding it automatically turns off on me and yes i have fuel in it all the time and oil in it all the time may be you could help with the probleam that iam having with it

Hmm. Idk what that would be... it could be the alternator, oil pressure censor, or a voltage issue.

I’ve been calling around trying to get into the pipeline but so far no calls back and a lot of companies want you to submit a resume online, any tips how to get into the industry? I have no pipeline experience but I am 24 and worked outside in Texas my whole life, just don’t know anyone for a reference so it’s kinda hard to get in but I’m gonna keep trying and trying till I get in, just wanted to know if you had any tips. Love the channel BTW!

It's hard to get into but what makes it hard to get in is one of the things you will like most once you get your in. Do you follow Austin's pipeline channel? Hey Austin, are you 100% tied to your union? I see that there’s a huge gas pipeline project going on a little bit south of Calumet, just before you get to the freeway. They’ve got the pipe all laid out, & looks like they’ll be welding it up pretty soon. I think it’s very close to where you’re at. I’m working on some of the wind projects over near there.

This might work for you.... I have a 1500 cu. ft. cabin that was VERY hot. I bought the biggest most powerful 110 volt A/C window unit that I could find. Instead of putting it in a window, I got out my chain saw, cut a hole high in the wall and framed it in. That made a perfect window frame for the new A/C unit. I still have all my windows. It's not rocket science. Any handyman can do it. I built an extended ledge that the outer part of the unit sat on. I even put a nice little roof over it. It was a fun project. My cabin now cools off quickly and is very comfortable. For winter.. I put a 1x4 frame on the inside wall and built a nice box that that fits perfectly over the frame. To secure the box, I drilled a few small holes thru the box and into the frame. A few long finishing nails made nice pins, that easily lift out when it's time to remove the box in spring.

You guys need to get a mini split installed in that building. It will save the window, be quieter then a window unit and be more efficient. I do HVAC work when I am not on the road.

Our electrician recommended that to us. We already had bought this and didn’t want to make that big of an investment. We hope we will outgrow this place relatively quickly. I’ve heard great things about those though. If we would have had the budget we would have went that direction

Love both channels have order hats everything, lol. But big question I've watched all of Austin's channel as well but my wife and I are at a point we want to move and travel etc, I was just wondering is there a way to talk/ email Austin about the best way to get on a pipeline we would love it. I'm a mechanic/ fabricator now and I went to college for mechanic and welding any help would be amazing.

We are working on a membership/community page/ pages. I think you all might be interested and that you would benefit from. One of them will have an option with this sort of thing. It’s goin to take way more than a month especially if you don’t know anyone. Start by getting any kind of welding job, socialize, build a network of people in the industry. Build relationships with others. We are actually working on a couple of membership, community/networking pages that I think you’d benefit from. We are launching them in less than 2 weeks. Stay tuned to my RU-vid channel and or you get get on my email list so you get an email when the pages go live.

Jonathan, There’s a big natural gas pipeline project going on right now in Calumet, OK. It’s about 4 miles north of the Calumet exit on I-40. Head over there. I’ll bet they’ll put you to work doing something. Also, there’s a lot of drilling & pipelines going on around Watonga, OK. Ask around at the 2 big gas stations in town. There’s tons of work there. It’s like Saudi Arabia up there. You’ll see what I mean when you get there. Good luck!

You bummed out man welding was in my blood I knew I wanted to be a welder when I was 13 some people gotta learn to weld I was born one, I I could just listen and tell you if you was in there or not guess I gotta go find some one else
