The Philippines is such an awful place. You can spend 30% less budget, and visit or live in a different Asian country with a much more quality of life and less pollution, with better healthier food, quality modern housing without roaches
Not true. Most expats go to the Philippines and not anywhere else to retire for a good reason. You will find out all those other countries are good for a short time only, not to retire, unless you have a lot of money and know their language and still... Yes, most foreigners are not aware of that law. And as you said... they will almost never check for that. BUT if he had filed for a permanent stay type of visa (not constant renewals), then they are known fir actually DO probe for historic records. And they have many contacts. So then paul would almost guaranteed gotten in troublr... even if he had solved hus old case in usa. Ph will STILL deny a person fir old cases like these.
I was in the NBI (National Bureau of Intelligence) in Davao. I needed a background check to get a 13A Visa. I was there to pick up my certificate (after a 30-day wait). My new wife and I were escorted to a building behind the NBI. I had a bad feeling about it and sure enough, when we got in there, I was immediately questioned by an older Filipino in street clothes who spoke almost zero English. In a raised and animated voice was saying something about "A Case"... I was bewildered and asked my new Filipina wife to help translate. She couldn't understand him either. Eventually, he handed me a document (and I didn't know what I looking at). I saw something about me being in Quezon City in 1993 and being wanted for RAPE!!!!! I have never been to Quezon City... This was listed as an event in 1993. I came to the Philippines (for the 1st time) in Oct of 2023. My head was spinning. I kept insisting I'd never been there and wasn't even in the Philippines in 1993. The older guy then relaxed and started smiling, shaking my hand, etc.. and said... You're OK, You're OK. I had to sign some document saying I disagreed with that accusation... I was shaking... I was escorted back to the NBI main area and picked up my clearance document. It's been a couple weeks since then and I'm still freaked out about what "could" have happened (like what happened to you). I'm still concerned that false information is on my documentation.

I always tell people who ask me when they are coming here to the Philippines they aren't going to have trouble with Filipinos living here. It's always the expats, most of them act like they are back in high school with all the drama and fighting with each other like kids. Glad things are getting better for you after a jealous expat pulled this crap on you.

Myk's Philippine Journey has caused a lot of trouble for expats. He must be put down in court. Just last night, a very young Filipina who just had a baby closed her account because of Myk. Myk removed the live last night but there is still a video of her and baby left.

Stories like this make me think twice about retiring and moving to Philippines with my filipino wife next year. I've heard other horror stories from ex-pats as well. Wake up one day, be jailed w/o charges for months over nothing .. yeah, thinking Philippines might not be so great to live out the rest of my life.
na, i live here its great, just use an immigration consultant service and your fine, also saves u a lot of time. the main issue here is only the heat and traffic, go rural so avoid traffic, and if you hate heat, go to cooler area, ensure this coz only the strong can handle the constant humidity n heat lol

For the fraud that this guy committed against hospitals, he communicated false information as earnestly as he would have truth. As a previous expat living in the Philippines. Upon my arrival But before I went to passport/ immigration control. I would find a BI official, explain that i wanted to extend my visa to 59 days, usually they knew what I was talking about,. if not I would show my passport from previous entries. Once they Saw, they knew what I wanted. So I Paid the extended visa fee's before i had My passport stamped for current entry.

Another story that does not make sense. No record with the US Embassy about any wanted bulletin in the USA. The US Embassy can verify if there is a wanted record. US Embassy told the Philippines Authority that there is no fugitive from justice record that they can find. I don't think any person can just send in a document to the Philippines Authority and get arrested for that without verification from the US Government. This story sounds like another fish tale like his previous stories about his life. Calling B.S. on this. There has to be something else he is not telling us like the Undesirable complaint coz he is a former felon.

The word on the street was he was locked up in immigration for a while. I had heard that 3 or 4 months ago. So that must have been common knowledge. Just not sure where that would come from if not somewhat true. Then this vlog comes out , so that makes sense. I have no idea if he is exaggerating anything, but I believe he was definitely held in custody for a period of time.
I'm going to straight shoot this as straightforward as possible. When I first heard of this going on I immediately got online and started searching around to see what exactly was going on. Yeah I did do a search of your name and I was able to pull up the federal case and immediately it was clear to see that this situation was completely over with that you was not, I repeat not a current wanted fugitive. Yeah there was some things that happened quite a few years ago but you did the time for the crime. There was quite a few vloggers that were talking about this situation and I did comment on a lot of them and did mention that I did do a background search of all this and found out that you was not a current wanted fugitive. I think a lot of the vloggers were doing that based off of the news headlines that was being posted up in the Philippines. They, meaning the news media, made it out that you was some wanted fugitive on the run and that they had received information about you and that they went and arrested you with their chest all stuck out like they done something big. I also commented on a lot of those news medias as well and I did call them out on exactly what was going on. Naturally no reply or comment. I kind of understand a little bit of the system as far as the federal system because of where my sister had done some federal time before. That's what immediately triggered me into start doing some background checks as to what exactly what was going on because a lot of things was not sounding right on their end. Little did the immigration there in the Philippines and or the news media failed to recognize or acknowledge was the fact that if you was a current wanted fugitive at that time that you would have never made it past TSA at the American airport that you went through. There was also some speculation by vloggers that when you filed for your extension that you must of lied on the part about having a criminal past and immigration did a background check on you and found that. Immediately that raised a red flag to me because it didn't sound right either

I am glad to see you are back on RU-vid. I hope you peruse all of your legal remedies against the person who falsely reported you and against the Philippines government for the treatment and conditions in which you were held. If you haven’t already done so, contact your congressman and senator. I had a family member who had legal issues abroad. Our congressman was instrumental in getting my family member back to the U.S. They may be able to help you peruse any legal recourse. Surely, submitting a false report to the Philippines gov't is illegal in the Philippines?
