Glad i came across this video… i am in my first 3 months trucking and it has been pretty cool. I also chose a year to be over the road and plan on making an exit to be local because i have a son. But when you said God placed you over the road to be away from people and to help find yourself that hit home. 💯
@@kingmichaeln1 yeah i really do to me it doesnt even feel like work. I drive for western express and ive heard many people say negative stuff about the company but even the bs doesn’t bother me because i like what im doing.
you do your job so well...and always start every video with a bible verse..... and I can say your grounded in God helps you keep such a good attitude towards your job.... I know people that are too smart to talk like experts and tell people if its good or bad.... you tell people how to take any job and that with a good attitude. God bless....

I am planning on going to school in January to get my cdls and the thought of learning to back up puts a knot in my stomach cause I currently ride with my husband and I see how hard it is lol. that's cool to see a young driver, I did truck driving after leaving the army but it was not for me I'm now a social worker, but I was able to get closer to god so I'm thankful for being out there on the road gives you time to think a process a lot of stuff so good for you keep it up

Wow! I have so much respect for what you've done and who you are! I got my CDL a few years ago and previously worked in finance and anti- money laundering .... however the toughest thing I ever did was getting my CDL A - It takes persistence and grit! Respect! Keep doing what you do and God Bless.

@Zanda Williams it all depends on what your looking for.. You can make more money OTR.. but your life is leaving out your truck.. or you can be home every night and be a 6 dayer and make what you can.. depends on what company also that will pay company drivers well....
I work for an ELD company and it has been interesting understanding and seeing the experience first hand from a driver. We know truck drivers are the backbone our country and we always want to keep improving their experience with our device/technology.

I've been an owner operator since October 2020 (woman of color also) I only do local (in California). I thought it wasn't going to happen but God had the final say. I worked at Werner for A year as well and then worked for A few companies after that and I must say Werner is the better overall company of them all. You should check and see if they have home daily available in you’re city

I would love to see more about your next life chapter. Also maybe to a video of items you need on the road, paperwork you have to do, can you choose your loads and areas for delivery?. Also maybe how you get endorsements, physicals, medical care, costs of general trips, etc.

Those small town roads always made my nerves skyrocket. It can be a fun rewarding job with a driving partner or on your own. But it’s also a lifestyle of driving in and out of states and showering at truck stops . I successfully finished my contract with CRST but left the company because it felt like I wasn’t making decent money. I have great respect for any man or woman who operate a semi truck . I drove a Volvo because it had a refrigerator. It’s funny how comfortable a small space becomes . Great videos

This was so good. One of our training trucks is an International and this vid was so helpful in understanding the different features and components. I had no idea the bed could be lifted and storage is underneath! And thanks for the tip on the seat belt to keep the curtain from sliding. 💚

I enjoy watching your videos you inspire me to go back and try to get my CDLs I’m a single mother and I’m a loner and go getter I’m driven many different cars suvs n short busses and I’ve always wanted to be a truck driver since age 20 I’m now 27 and in healthcare field and it’s rough it’s okay I do enjoy it butd since COVID I’ve been doing side hustles and I feel this a be a great job I can get my passenger endorsement and have my children on road with me hopefully girl you did great 😊 🙏🏾😘
Damn, their closest terminal to Michigan is in Michigan. In Brownstown, Mi to be exact. That's where I park my personal vehicle and my tractor during home time. They have showers and everything. The Ohio terminal is too far away.
