That instant gratification gets me every time! I do a little shimmy when I hit submit order on that cart. 😂 I’ve been doing better but I know I can try harder.
I had to stop because I was not being a good steward and overconsumption actually started making me have anxiety. It wasn’t gratifying anymore to come home to 2 or 3 boxes on the porch every day… and the Bible tells us not to “store up treasure on Earth”🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm irresponsible in that area too. 😢 And this dang social media doesn't help at all. 😂 We all have something to work on and will always have something to work on. Give yourself grace!
I changed my mindset about money and learned to welcome it instead of having anxiety about it and spending wildly. Recently, I had over $1,000 in car repairs and guess what? I had the money to pay for it because I saved and didn’t just spend, spend, spend. It was so satisfying to not have to borrow from anyone or stress myself about paying for repairs. It felt so good! I’m learning better money habits and I’m so proud of myself! 💜💜💜
Try thinking about where all of this started and came from, it’s deeply rooted. We often overcompensate for that which feels empty. SIDE BAR: “The more we get the more we want that we don’t need.”
That instant gratification is the perfect way to explain buying something that we 'want' on spur of the moment. Then, later think🤔💬, why did I do that?😢

Jesus told me a few years ago to stop buying stuff for my house and I was like yeah let me obey because girl I was putting stuff in my building having to clean it out continuously then I would buy more stuff 😂 it was truly freeing now it's no problem not to purchase anything unless I need it..... I didn't realize how freeing it is ❤ my older sister is allergic to shrimp, she told me she's still going to eat it after having to get shots and medicine then for days she was still broken out with hives! I told her God gave people common sense! She has lots of reactions to different things...... I told her that her throat could close up .

Screenshot your wants. Then at the end of the week or on payday after you have done your budget look back at the photos and see if you still fill the same. Chose your top five or three and purchase those and delete all the other screenshots 😘
