It goes through walls in Super Metroid because by the time you get the Hyper Beam in Super Metroid, you already have the Wave Beam. Going through walls isn't the result of the Hyper Beam, but a result of the Wave Beam.

Agt.BADASS Seems to be Dark Samus. I'd have to carefully read since I only know so much Japanese. Edit: It seems the federation asked the phazon irradiated Hyper Mode Dark Samus to deal with the resurgence of metroids on SR388 in this mod. I'll try to read more again later, but it's a bit difficult since I'm not used to pixelated kanji.
