Amadou Onana has been a consistent performer who definitely has experienced growing pains in his tenure at Everton. But, the last month, which has seen the team needing to face and overcome adversity, has brought out a side to Amadou Onana Everton fans haven't seen before but appreciate. Last weekend's game against Arsenal was proof of his growth, his leadership on the pitch, and the potential he holds. Today, I discuss why regardless of offer or fee, provided Everton aren't relegated, Amadou Onana must be held at all costs. I analyse through Everton vs Arsenal game footage why this is the case & more.

Fantastic video, I must admit I didn't know Onana well, but you've convinced me of his maturity as a footballer, and I hope to see him improve and help Everton stay in the Premier league hopefully. I'm glad he turned down Chelsea.

at least speed, strength and height is at advantage if only Arteta wants him and Arsenal have money to buy him.

his role wasn't super defined this year because he was in and out of the lineup with different managers. imo definitely good as a holding midfielder because when he's switched on, his tackling is incredible, and he can draw a rash challenge which relieves pressure. given he's young though there's a lot of room for improving, and his passing and dribbling are a bit dodgy so sometimes can invite that pressure an everton backline don't want

His best position would be what I said in the previous answer, and tbh my ball knowledge isn’t great. That said, even if I knew tons there’s not too many midfielders going around as tall and lanky as he is

This didn’t age well. He looked lost against the Liverpool press.

We looked a little bit less aggressive with our press, which meant Liverpool could carry the ball under less duress and they tore our midfield apart. Far too easy to advance through that area today today.
