Charles Ramsey should have a street named after him in Cleveland. He is proof that we need people who 'see' something and are willing to actually step in to help. Too many people don't want to get involved in these modern times-Charles is a national treasure.

Yes. He has a firm way of expressing humility and love. And truthfully, anyone, even the victim, can see things clearly after the fact. That's what makes him so cool. Moreover, it appears that he really has worked to redeem himself for what happened between him and his ex-wife.
A little late but he’s done a lot to help charities and the homeless, sure he had made very poor choices in life but he’s definitely doing his best to help the world around him.

Not one good deed can outweigh the amount of debt we have in sin. Yes, this is something to embrace but only by trusting alone in Christ as the Savior and believes that fact will truly be saved.
My god, his humility is so genuine, and a lesson for so many people, including me. And he is so correct about who the true hero is, the woman who endured every day and kept faith in herself. So much love to both of them.

So sweet how he calls her his baby 😭 after what happened they must really feel so connected in a way we just can't imagine. 10 years of torment and then you have a chance to escape and this random bystander comes up, with a big Mac just goin about his day, and saves you from your prison. He's so genuine with her. She must really love him and you can tell he means it when he says he loves her too. What a good dude. ❤️
He just reminds me of those old fashioned people who watched you grow up or would knock on the new neighbors door with a pie to introduce them into the neighborhood. The one that you can Uncle/Auntie and they look over you like real family. Can tell he was raised by somebody that put that in his heart.

right, i always think of this now that i have my own child. your own neighbor could have someone trapped in their basement, for years and you'd never even know. you could be shopping and chatting with someone in the store and little do you know they have someone trapped in their home. the world is a scary place and while i try not to be too overprotective, i find it so difficult not to be you just never know. that sick man Ariel literally hugged Gina's mom while she was speaking about her lost daughter, handing out flyers, and he brought a flyer back to Gina and laughed in her face. smh
He’s an example (like most of us) of a person who’s not perfect and has made many mistakes, but that action he took that day is what shines through all that negativity. What we do sometimes or have done doesn’t define us.

I’m currently reading Hope: A Memoir of Survival by Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus and they mentioned how he would not allow the girls to watch any tv shows or movies with black people in them and that he was extremely racist. Funny how in the end of all this it’s a very kind and amazing black man who saved all 3 of those girls. It pisses me off that Ariel Castro killed himself in prison. He kept those girls chained up for 10+ years and he couldn’t even last a month or two in a jail cell. Pathetic.

Heaven has a great spot for this man. Revisiting this story every now and again never fails to make me smile. Charles Ramsey is an amazing man and deserves to live comfortably for the rest of his life for his deeds and humility surrounding the incident.

I like Amanda and I also really like Michelle. Michelle always got overlooked and they’ve said it over and over again, in all of the documentaries or news casts that I’ve seen, that she had nobody. Nobody was looking for her, nobody knew she was gone and nobody cared, she had to overcome more then the other two in my opinion due to the fact that she was older and he took out a lot of his anger out on her most of the time

Right after, every news station wanted him on air that he had to hire a manager and assistant to handle all the interviews, tv shows, radio talks and celebrity events. Charles Ramsey was and is a very intelligent man as well as a hero. . He was actually studying Ariel bcuz some things just weren't adding up. I haven't forgotten the guy. He should be recognized as like a man of honor. He came to those three ladies rescue. He should've received the medal of honor for his heroism. Thank u Mr. Ramsey. He won't be forgotten.
He probably feels bad that he'd been living next them suffering all this time and didn't get them out sooner. Poor guy. He is still a hero as well as the girls.
nodevoutt: Yes he said that what used to keep him awake at night was money problems but now, it is the fact of not knowing that these girls were suffering in the house next door to him and that takes over and makes him not sleep at night.
Charles and Amanda had me in tears. Two humans united in one goal to live and let live to help one another. God made us ONE human race .... WE placed each other in categories, that is not God's doing. He loves us all. I think this is one of the MOST beautiful human rescue stories I have ever seen.

Real hero’s never call themselves hero’s. That’s what makes them such beautiful humans. This story is so sad and so beautiful all at the same time, god bless these girls i hope they are able to enjoy the rest of their lives to the fullest. Be is so real, authentic. He recognizes he didn't tell something was wrong with Castro. All was normal stuff. He then remembers cries but thought he was paranoid. He is so real. He does not try to sound more than what it was and that makes it so much more. ❤
