Amanda Lepore was the first trans person I ever saw. I was a teenager and I saw her in a magazine. I was absolutely enamoured, her glamour was so extreme. I’ve been such a fan ever since, she’s a living icon and I’m glad she’s getting her flowers.

Such a sweet soul to mention her mom & the struggles growing up together. But not cast her as a villain, & even did her best to keep her mom calm with the disease saying she saw what wasn't there. That's love despite the pain, made me cry. I wish her nothing but health and happiness 💖

lemme tell ya'll, having been in the nyc scene and being around amanda, she is still to this days one of the sweetest people in that whole crowd of cloutchasers and wannabes. She is a blueprint of iconography and treating people with kindness.
