I love seeing her so happy with a huge smile on her face, running around the ring celebrating, and a belt on each shoulder. She deserves all of this she's perfect I love her
@s bright she did good, but she never made improvements to her game. She trained like 10 years with a boxing coach and couldn't throw a combo. Plus Ronda dodged Cyborg her WHOLE career. Also a lot of the fighters she beat were perfect match ups. Nunes has challenged herself and beat opponents who are tough match ups for her unlike Rousey.
@@jmiahrealone Miesha retired Because Adam broke her nose and she couldn't take damage anymore like in her prime but she's only 32 and still would be fighting if not for the broken nose same with Rousey in Joe Rogan words lit her up like a Christmas tree lol
Amanda is arguably the first true Champ Champ. She's the only one without astericks next to it. Conor never defended either belt. Daniel Cormier has the whole Jon Jones issue where he never beat Jones for the belt. He was only 205 champ because Jones was gone. Nunes beat Meisha who was champ at the time, and went on to beat Rousey who was the champ for years, and defended her 135 belt multiple times. Now moved up and got 145 belt beating not just the champ but the most dominant female fighter in history. I feel like if she defends the 145 belt successfully at least once it would really cement her as a champ champ with no astericks. And this is coming from a huge Conor fan and somebody who isn't really a big fan of Amanda.
Congrats to Amanda. Some folks kept going on and on about how size was gonna be a factor, and that Cyborg would just out muscle Nunes because she's the smaller fighter. Nunes not only went toe to toe with Cyborg, but if you watch them exchanging punches closely, most of Cyborg's punches missed because Nunes was quick with her head movement and did an excellent job of blocking, and counter attacking. Like Miesha Tate said from experience that Nunes has the power to KO Cyborg and too many people including some of the other UFC fighters dismissed her skills. Nunes does not get the props she deserves. Both her and Valentina deserve to be in the UFC hall of fame because their skills are exceptional. Nothing against Cyborg she's still a class act after her loss.
my first thought also. holm went the distance with cyborg. nunes and holm are both clean and strong fighters. another fight that could go either way....
@@sdwilliams63 I would think the same thing after watching Amanda destroy Cyborg. Its fresh in my mind. But a well trained (I mean a good camp) for Holly before fighting Nunes would make a GREAT fight, and I don't think anyone gets ko'd in the 1st.
Love Amanda Nunes! She didnt recieve much attention in the buildup to the Ronda fight.. Its so refreshing to see her get the spotlight she deserves! Awesome person and congrats to her!
Cris fed into Amanda’s game plan. They knew she was gonna come out swinging. Cris forgot she was fighting someone with equal or more power then hers. Jason’s game plan was bad for this fight. Always thought he was an average coach.
True champion UFC is lucky to have someone like Nunes holding the crown in 2 weight classes. Rousey was so media driven and fake, Nunes is the real deal.
I guess those fights she won were all scheduled by the media and the media put 'can't win drugs' into Rousey's opponents. The media is as bad as the mafia huh?
I can't believe how great Jones looked tonight - I hope DC doesn't continue to claim himself the "GOAT" because he got a lucky punch on Stipe - DC needs to rematch with Stipe - to seal that deal - But? If there is a rematch, Stipe will work him for five rounds and beat him down like he beat down Nanganu

Prince Charming doubt she had any fear at all. She was cool calm and collected at the press conferences, the interviews, the face offs, and even the match.
Love her or hate her, but Cris Cyborg showed a great deal of class in the ring after the defeat when she went to congratulate and hug Amanda. True display of sportsmanship and class.
They both knew someone had to lose. I love the respect they gave each other but also wasn’t scared to put everything on the line Amanda ended up coming out on top. Great fight!
The reason she outslugged Cyborg is because she used good head movement after throwing her punches and used great footwork to break Cyborg's rhythm and timing.... Cyborg's chin was up the entire time and she showed no head movement... Easy for Amanda to time a stiff target... I'd like to see a rematch with Cyborg making some adjustments with her head movement and footwork... I still believe Amanda wins a rematch but if Cyborg makes a few adjustments it would greatly increase her chances of winning...
It looked like she was seeing the fight in slow motion while Cris was desperate to land a knock out punch. Nunes was strategizing, kick to the leg follow up with a punch to the face. She just had different vision in the fight.
Meisha said that she could not believe how hard Amanda could hit. well now Rhonda and Cyborg can back that statement up. I was not a Nunez fan ,but she went up in weight to fight the biggest challenge anyone could find for her. she now has two championships ,and has proved herself to the world. I thought she would dodge fighting Cyborg, but I was wrong. I hope they do it again ,but I would not blame her if she didn't because she has nothing left to prove. She is a lioness.
They have to fight again. Nunez understood what she got into. Cyborg is in her own weight class. To defend that title Nunez would have to gain more weight again. I know cutting/gaining weight is tough but its the game
Her punch followed by an elbow is what got or shook cyborg. Cyborg didn't expect the elbow, but she was prepared for the punch. The elbow knocked the wind out of her. Nice & short fight. Prop to both ladies either way.
What is up with the poll question? "Do you agree with nunes?" Agree with what? I had Nunes winning by decision, I got the round wrong but it was the only pick I had right. The curse of K-flo hit me hard. I love this sport.
I liked her till she was unsure if she’d give Cyborg a rematch. Really? The girl was the original champion in that class and was undefeated for how long? Geez.
Weird that I was more or less rooting for cyborg(didnt have a dog in the fight and I like both fighters) but was so happy when amanda won! It just felt super good seeing her win and celebrate!
