Former UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg speaks with ESPN MMA reporter Brett Okamoto about her 51-second KO loss vs. Amanda Nunes at UFC 232. Cyborg says she’s a little heartbroken and can’t remember the fight. She says she’ll get back to training and wouldn’t run away from a rematch, but nothing changes for her future.

I truly hope so she is just a wonderful example of how to be, minus the old failed tests she has been a model fighter, and a respectful class act and sport ambassador. afaq ahmad I believe you can tell more from someone in a losing spot than a winning one. In real life odds are usually against us. Humans struggle and face loss. Much respect for her. She didn't make excuses and was more worried about her fans. She did rush and not respect Amanda but she said it, "No regrets and gods plan". Nunez beat both female legends in the first round. Chris Cyborg wins millions of hearts of the fight fans. Cyborg is such a genuine classy fighter she showed tonight. Remember Manny Pacquiao when he was knocked out by Marquez (one punch ?) he showed the same class of sportsmanship. Classy fighters are well loved and they are the ones who can easily moved on and rise again to another level of success. Chris Cyborg will rise again and learn from her mistakes.

Cyborg is a true champion in the fact that she shows people the true manner in which a loss is handled .No hiding no ducking moving around avoiding cameras with towels on her head .She is very positive and faces the press and owns up to the responsibility of a high - level martial artist . Especially in this ego - inflated social media , negatively charged society . She is what is good about the UFC . She is a sales person for the brand and has shown people that champions get back up after a set back . I see her as more of a champion now than before the fight . I am sure that what - ever fan base she had has only increased in it's size .

Cyborg is a truly great ambassador for this sport, humble in defeat and such a great sport. Whether this is the end of her reign or the beginning of her comeback, regardless, she is and always will be one of the greatest and most baddest women in sports period. I love how Cyborg said she did everything she needed to do to prepare for the fight. This is one of the greatest brawls. Cyborg continued forward while Nunes swung for the fences striking with leopard paw knuckles stepping back or trying to maintain her space. The Lioness proved when you corner a cat it turns. Nunes practices one of the hardest Convict Conditioning exercises, horizontal pull ups with weights which defies the Convict Condition system. The funny thing about the Pull Up chapter name is "Barn Door Back and Major Guns". Nunes has a Liddell solid shoulder rack. She strikes with the lower padded leopard's paw knuckles throwing haymakers which if blocked, opens you up to devastating abdomen kicks or strikes. Anyways, I'm getting buzzed and that's all the beans I'm going to spill.

Ikr? I know that feeling too. Hell in my life I fight for my families life instead of in a cage, I train on my own time period everybody. I never quit anymore, I'm doing it so I can be out of harms way. But I won't let that bother me any longer, I love and hate cris cyborg. I have no reasons to explain why. It gets to tiring everyday. I fight for my friends and do it to keep my cool in check.

Cris Cyborg is an excellent athlete and champion. She always believed in victory as all the champions believe, but she always said in the interviews that when the defeat came she would face it naturally. In my opinion the best MMA athlete among women, lost the fight because Amanda was more precise in exchanging punches, but her legacy no one extinguishes. The question remains: will you have a rematch?

She has an awesome disposition. The only thing that’s concerning about the loss is that once the stigma of invincibility has been broken, other fighters will know that it can be done… Which is why quite often when someone loses after a ridiculously crazy streak, they go on to have a much more mixed bag of results for the rest of their career. But I hope she’s gets right back in track.

Cyborg is getting old, and underestimated Nunes power by been defenseless. There should be a rematch but this time, at a higher catch-weight because Nunes came in looking as big as a lioness while Cyborg came in looking as tiny as a leopard.

I hope that she can get a rematch with Amanda, it would be interesting to see, although personally I can’t see a different outcome really. No one can stop the Lioness, that’s just preposterous. She’s the baddest woman on the planet! But honestly, if Cyborg can’t stop her, I don’t think there’s a person who can. She has completely run through all of the competition worth mentioning in her divisions. Cyborg and Shevchenko are the only two who I can think of who can even compare to her in the octagon. One thing’s for sure, things are about to get VERY interesting in the UFC! 2018 has set up a TON of epic bouts possibly headed our way in 2019! Cejudo Vs. Dillashaw, possibly Iaquinta vs. McGregor, Cormier vs. Jones 3, Woodley vs. Covington, possibly Covington vs. Usman, Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson the list goes on and on. Cyborg just fought a dumb fight. She should get a rematch and go to the ground game. When Nunes box put her hands up for defense and go to ground game. She just fought a dumb fight and too over confident and when Nunes was throwing blows she was not really protecting herself and trying to throw blows against a boxer. It is clear that is Nunes strength. Just a dumb fight by Cyborg

Ground game?? Nunes is a black belt in Jui Jitsu... and she is stronger than Cyborg... did you see her arms? She will crush Cyborg on the ground..... Cyborg is great but she has met her match. Nunes keeps getting better and better.... too much power. She took Cyborgs punches with ease.... Cyborg could not handle Nunes in the pocket..... I agree it was a dumb strategy not respecting Nunes' power but she will lose again I think.... Nunes more power and longer reach.... plus she looked faster.... we will see..... anything is possible....

Cyborg is winning a lot of fans with her incredible grace in this loss. I must say i was very happy Amanda won but you would need a heart of stone to not be touched by the way Cris has carried herself since. A rematch now will be very interesting and giving Amanda's striking the proper respect will make it a closer affair. We just saw women's MMA take an evolutionary leap, just as when Holly Holme dethroned Rhonda. Early days in this side of the sport so we can expect plenty of these progressions but anyway it's fantastic to see and just great sporting entertainment all round.
