Not ashamed to be crying at the end when Ethel found a home! Thanks, Amanda, if you are reading this. That was a lovely date. (I would put a clear coat on top of the painting Ethel made so flies don't get it. *snicker*) Thanks for giving her dog-friendly treats! Glad to see that you and your family are involved in rescues. I met a nice man and his daughter last night who had adopted a Blue Heeler puppy who was part of a litter that had been dumped in a cardboard box. Blessings!

The interaction between Amanda and Ethel is so beautiful to witness. It’s like we got the chance to peek into a wonderful dream day for this sweet pup. And Amanda too! I’m so glad to have seen this because I work at a shelter and have fostered cats, who are traumatized, and take a while to finally have their perfect day. It was nice to see the turnaround be so easy ❤

Ethel is a great dog I'm glad that she found her forever home and she's a very good artist as well. And I love the portrait that Amanda painted very well done. I like the celebrity dates not only because are the celebrities really caring about animals and they want to help them get adopted, but it's just a good thing and it's very heartwarming.❤

I am in absolute AWE of Ethel! My knees are weak and I love her and would spend my day loving her so hard. She's an absolute adorable 10 year old, semi low rider with amazing and perfectly spaced out tic-tacs for teeth! Oh My Dog! Her soulful eyes are like beautiful Boba pearls!

She got a million viewers exposure. It’s worth a lot of money, which should go to the dogs in need. I assume you’re a trump like her. There was this British show where they follow the life in a dog shelter. And then in one episode Tom Hardy just showed up. It clearly wasn't planned he was gonna be on the show. It's just when he's away from home and his own dogs he goes to dog shelters to play with the dogs there as a form of destressing.

I tkink that is the best idea that dido has come up with. For dogs to find a furever home. I have puppy mill dog and would not trade him for anything.

My friend used to have a sanctuary mainly for mill dogs. The horror they live in! When one would come in, they had to be bathed and shaved down right away to check for skin lesions and other problems. She had vet students come in to help her with that every Saturday. Most of the time you can talk the mill owners into releasing dogs that are no longer producing. But, sometimes you have to go to the auctions to save them. I always call them mill slaves. Blessings!

I am *very* disappointed with the ppl who are commenting that this is a stupid series and that Amanda is "fake." Lee Asher started out with just an RV and a handful of dogs going to shelters across America for adoption events to show ppl that you can find your dream dog, and a breed you want, in shelters! And Amanda has been involved in rescue for so long!

We adopted a 12 1/2 year old female Pit Bull from the local shelter because no one wanted her. She turned out to be one of the best dogs I ever had. Just lost her after 2 1/2 years with us, and I couldn't believe how attached I was to that dog in such a short time. Such a loyal, hard-working companion.
