Pllavi did a great job on behalf of the character. no second thoughts on that. But i dnt think she has felt the the depth of the character at all. the deepness and the intense importance of this character that she represents is wordless. had a sri lankan actress done this, the touch to the heart and the sense would have been much more intense. as the prof explained the naraseeha gatha and the moment devie yashodhara worships lord buddah and kisses his feet is the moment of the film which drives us to tears, goosebumps, reality of life, a lesson for cheating husbands who doesn't respect women enough. I really respect the crew who succeeded this. love this overall.
nishgirl wish I have not watched the movie yet , but you sound biased because you cannot compare Pallvai with Sri Lankan actresses because Sri Lanka actresses are league ahead when it comes to understanding the character : as it is Singhala
Yohan Laksitha its not understanding the sinhala or anything else. Its about pallavi in the interview.. the way she answers some questions seems like she doesnt know the exact depth of what she is representing. Maybe she is non buddhist.so ahe doesnt knoq the actual importance of thw character of yashodara after all. Anyways i respect your opinion. Had a sinhala buddhist actress done this, the religious feeling and the enlightning feeling qould be much more appreciated. Nways paalavi is great not knowing a sinhala word and acting like this like she understands everything.
I thought the two hosts were very unprofessional. The female presenter said she is finding it difficult to converse in Sinhala and then she goes on and speaks in perfect Sinhala. LOL. She started talking to the guest in English and suddenly in the middle of the sentence she switched back to Sinhala and carried on the conversation in Sinhala with the other presenter. And you can clearly see the male presenter is hitting on Pallavi. Am I the only one getting negative vibes from Pallavi?. She is clearly seems not interested in what others have to say.
I am from Mumbai. Pallavi used to stay in my same colony and also we were in same school. Offcourse Pallavi found difficulties in language cos she is from India and she is also accepting that she is blessed cos she got this lead role. The way anchors are talking in their own language after knowing Pallavi can't understand and speak. she is an guest who came from different country Even though intentionally doing all such things evem I got the same negative vibes from both of them let it be but I am happy that my childhood friend and my school friend is representing my country cos she got this lead role and srilankan actress didn't get this role may be cos of this reason they felt bad
@@sunshine7425 yasodhara is very pure character so that's why they wanted a new fresh character who seems suitable for this and Pallavi is so good to it
