Amare Stoudemire annouces his retirement today :( When he worked with Steve Nash, their team work is unbelievable, Amare cut, nash passes, make a perfect, facial Slam DUNK!!!!!
Really Blake Griffin wishes he had Amare's mean streak. Griffin dunks over people, Stoudemire dunks ON people. Whether they want it or not. It was great as a Canadian watching Nash and Stoudemire, he's got to be in the top 10 maybe top 5 for explosiveness off the PNR. I mean in 2011, He beats Garnett off the dribble and dunks on him AND O'niel at the same time. Basically the PF version of Vince Carter.
+laynebrock That doesn't affect his previous dunks. Shawn Kemp was the best dunker for a while then he got fat during the lockout. He's still considered one of the greatest dunkers ever.
Politics. To admire and acknowledge certain greats is to acknowledge certain eras and ways of doing things contrary to how they presently are or the agenda in place. Same reason Jesus isn't taught in school. It cripples the curriculum and agenda Stoudemire was special, he did it on a Sun's team that fast breaked but never won against defensive teams. To show his greatness as a big yet failures of that system ... is to highlight how soft and inferior, the dominating style of the league today Is.
Amare Stoudemire is criminally underrated. I always liked and had respect for him. Dude just showed up and played hard every night. Nothing but respect for him.
@@elhajjmalikel6266 … he is more criminally overrated and not even close to Shawn Kemp. Kemp had a little bit more of pure basketball skills. AS just dunked over ppl.
He also had a two time MVP helping him alot with those sweet dimes. Made it easy for amare. Amare is good but I dont know about hall of fame. If he stayed healthy and played a more consistent career, no doubt hall of game. Its gonna be a toss up if he makes it or not
@@user-wg7oh3vg7u yeah I said he is good and can create for himself. Amare was explosive as hell and had incredible fast feet and great ball handling for his size. Dude was a machine no doubt but injurys and never being able to get a ring with Phoenix is why I dont think amare will make it
Mark Wilson couldn’t you say the same thing about Nash that amare also made it easy for Nash to get all those a assist because of his quick first step and finishing at the rim
Man.... I remember the first half of the 2010-2011 Amar’e was being talked about being MVP. He was playing out of his mind. One of my favorite players.
FR his presence at PF with TC at center was a fun thing to watch their 2 man games on both ends. Just strong physicality and LEGIT finishing at the rim from those 2.
If not for injuries he could have been one of the best pf ever to play . he could shoot too . stretch the floor . put the ball on the floor . go around you . dunk on you . send your shot into the stands . he was an animal . only guy ive ever seen shit all over kg and duncan every time they played
Watching this is 2021 just thinking how today there isn’t a player who embraces and pushing thru contact like this. Rather jump, bump defender in the air and fade away+float something up for a possible And 1
This dude used to me amazing before his injuries sat him down. So many stars have injuries fuck their whole career up. Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Stoudemire, D. Rose, etc etc. But yeah, this man used to be a BEAST!
Jake Rojas uhhh the warriors are playing flawless TEAM basketball, leading the league in team assist/hockey assist and pretty much every passing category. always on top as far as FG %, and very rarely have multiple possessions with iso’s. also the warriors pretty much adopted the d’antoni offense with pop motion offense and gelled them together, so for you to say “shooting exhibition” shows you don’t know much
bojo perez “they were a complete package” i can tell you’re nothing more than a warrior hater from that statement alone. because the suns were one of the worst defensive teams during their peak, and curry would give nash nightmares given the fact that he was way worse of a defender than steph. also the warriors play defense and are usually top 5 in almost every defensive category for the past 5-6 years
I've never seen grown men wish to see the downfall of players who don't care if u live or die. Freak athlete gets dunked on by free athlete.... so what lol
@@shundon5932 I mean just pure athleticism and bounce. Don't sleep on Kemp as an overall player. He was right up there with the best PF's in the 90s (Malone, Barkley, etc)
He ate them all my goodness i love him when he was in SUNS with marion, nash, barbosa, diaw. Oh my favorite here when he dunked on Lebron James legendary! he ate him alive!!!!
I thought he was everything you could want from a big man.. Nash is one of the greatest dishers of all time there was no wonder they won 60+ games & Knicks shiiii knicks was just cursed always have always will..
Dawg, ppl forget just how REAL Amar'e was, man! He served up EVERYBODY offensively. Sure his defense may not have been "All NBA" but half of these highlights are of him AFTER he blew out his knee early in his career in PHX. Living in AZ I am to think of these days many times. Stoudemire is an all time top 10 PF in this league. That's real
Amare STAT, the 2nd coming of Shawn Kemp. Both could handle the ball, get in the paint, had a pass-first PG, and do i really need to mention the HOPS? And Blake Griffin evolved from them, now it's the GREEK FREAK doing it
Stoudemire was a beast I still remember when he dominated Duncan in his prime Duncan said he scary how good stoudamire will become then that summer I think he broke his leg another special player that could have been great
Some people forget how awesome he was early on. He was literally the dunk king. He led the league in dunks as an undersized PF / C. I personally see Zion being a little more like Amare in how he will be able to score, than anything else. Amare was basically all athleticism, and only refined his game due to injuries. I forsee Zion being similar in impact for his team, and possibly only scoring on the same type of plays. I doubt Zion will be a great, but an Amare Stoudemire career minus the injuries is not bad at all. Without the injuries Amare was on his way to superstardom, and was doing great in NY with Felton before Melo. Kinda miss this era of basketball.
Blake Better den Amare bro. Blake's # for his Career are better than Amares. Plus Blake has better Shot/ Shot Distance and is a much better Ball Handler/ Passing..
Hear he's in really great shape he catching a lot hate for being in the big three but for the most part after the nba he was Europe and won a title for Israel im hoping suns bring him back
Man they got fucked out of a championship. People forget how good Stat was. He was Blake Griffin before Blake Griffin.....only better. Those damn knees man....
Why'd he leave Nash? Suns offer was pennies less than what NY gave him. Fucked up every thing. Nash in limbo w the Suns till Nash goes to Lakers to try to get a ring. Damn the Suns would have got a ring !!! Ugh.
