//GEAR I USE
📸 Cameras:
---------------------------------------------------
I get a lot of questions about the cameras I use. Here are my main cameras:
• [GoPro Hero 11](amzn.to/3q8Fpzw)
This is the most durable camera. It withstands the elements and can go places other cameras can’t. There are so many accessories available for GoPro cameras which makes them endlessly customizable and versatile.
• [DJI Pocket 2](amzn.to/3rLGGwT)
This little handheld camera is very easy to pack and carry with you because of its size.
🔋 Other useful tech:
---------------------------------------------------
• [DJI OM 6](amzn.to/3Y5LnxL)
• [GoPro Suction Cup Mount](amzn.to/3DqLMkN)
• [GoPro Enduro Battery](amzn.to/3K9BnOr)
• [Anker USB-C Cable](amzn.to/3Kb5Rzg)
• [Anker USB-C Power Bank](amzn.to/3OopBSM)
• [Samsung Micro SD Card 512 GB](amzn.to/3DmszAZ)
• [Sandisk 2TB SSD Portable SSD](amzn.to/43D57tJ)
✈️ Travel gear I like:
---------------------------------------------------
• [Peak Design Travel Duffel](amzn.to/3Q9fgv7)
• [Bellroy Lite Duffel](amzn.to/44Yssai)
• [Peak Design Tech Pouch](amzn.to/3DoKNBB)
• [Bellroy Tech Kit](amzn.to/3DrjXsQ)
• [Yeti Cooler](amzn.to/3DthePz)
🎧 Audiobooks:
---------------------------------------------------
I listen to all the audiobooks while on the road. Get started with a free audiobook here:
• [Audible](amzn.to/3FQHcvJ)

I've been living here for a big chunk of my life now. Downtown is where you go to register your car, and the big bank buildings are there, but for a tourist there's not much to do. Don Harrington Discovery Center is an interesting little museum affair you can take your kids to, up by the hospital... I forget the exact streets, I haven't been in awhile. It's in the northwest. Mall's between Soncy and Coulter, but it's not worth much. Overpriced and kinda dead if you ask me. Food court used to be great, but it's rubbish now; I think the mall's really in decline. Most of the best stores are on Soncy. For most restaurants, go between Georgia and Western, both sides of I-40. More towards Western really. For the best pizza in town, go down Georgia to Market Street United. For the best Mexican, go to El Charro off Bolton. El Tejavan just east of Grand is related to that restaurant, or run by relatives of the owners or something, and is a close second. Bit greasy though. Another El Tejavan location is off the highway just west of Georgia. For something a bit cheaper, look for Rosa's, just northeast of the crossing of Western and I-40. There are a couple of other Rosa's locations, one down on Soncy and one on 45th. Movie theaters... forget movie theaters, nobody uses the things anymore. Amarillo's a good place to pass through, and used to be a great place to grow some roots, but living space is expensive now thanks to a swarm of Californians. Best to enjoy the food, enjoy the culture, and then pass on through for now. Maybe someday it'll be a great place again, but I'm afraid it's more likely the culture will be lost, and it'll turn into just another NYC/LA clone.

Some Californians are parasites (Liberals). I don't get them, you move to another state for a better living but don't turn the new area like you did to California. if you decided to move to Texas its because of the better economic option, keep Texas the way it is don't bring that liberal destruction idea here don't make a Texafornia.

We are about to move to Amarillo but due to immigration delay it has been postponed, just want to ask what time is this video? The roads seems quiet, empty and less people. Is this normal in Amarillo or depends on the location and time.

Amarillo has some truly lovely summer evenings. At 3600 ft elevation and low humidity evenings are usually wonderful. It is a fantastic opportunity for a big hay bale beer garden just out of town with national touring bands and a big stage. But no one seems interested in such things... Most locals hang out with a small group of friends who seem uninterested in ANY art form. I dont believe the town has had a nationally touring rock band in a decade. We literally had Herp Albert as our last " big" show. Could they find anyone more nerdy and laughable? Yes 109 year old Herp Albert!!!! Not kiddin'!!! Eeeek But if you just want to raise a bunch of young'ns, this might be your place.

@@DeceleratedTravel sure thang, The town doesn't offer much but drive only 15 miles south and you discover the 2nd largest canyon system in the U.S. Palo Duro Canyon and it's like named state park is breathtaking. Drive 40 miles north and you discover Lake Merideth and Alibates national wildlife area. They are both lovely. This area can be heavenly for an outdoorsman who wants to see some pristine nature.

I wonder if this amount of pedestrians/cars on the road is normal. It seems like a relatively quiet place.

it can be quite but during baseball games and weekends, downtown gets pretty packed. not like other city's though. its still pretty easy to get around. I spend most of my time downtown shooting street photography

@@angel-dc5cj ....that rapture stuff is real!!! The whole town being mostly non dancin'Baptist and non piano or organ playin' Church of Christ'rs all got raptured about a year before this video, leaving only a handful of sinners, mostly lawyers and a couple Junior League moms, to populate the whole town. No waiting on aisle 3🤔 ...

1st 10 min of video, coasting through red lights, dont think they made one complete stop at a stop sign. Sad times we are living in. People think laws are suggestions, or something to test the limits of. Racing on the freeways, entering freeways at 40mph expecting others to slow down or move over for them. Making right turns across all the lanes, to the left lane. Parking on the wrong side of the road.
@donsumner9268

I live in ABQ NM and it is the same here. Drivers used to obey laws and pay attention to the roads around them, but now their attitude and their behavior are unreal. Most drivers here do not even care about insurance for their vehicle!! I wish the state would inforce insurance on all vehicles!
@rickmartinez342
@rickmartinez342 10 месяцев назад
@@donsumner9268 it is a sad state when you can pick and choose what laws you want to follow, without any consequence. Insurance would be simple to enforce, if state would require insurance to report to DMV when people didn't pay. The state could revoke registration. But then police would have to run plates & tow cars when plates were revoked. That would be a revenue (thru tickets), and for tow services, but then state gov would have to support police doing their job (oh and make them).

Should be titled NORTHERN half of Amarillo/Potter County. You spent 1.5 hours driving around while missing half the city. Did not make it south of I-40 much less into Randall County or newer areas of town. Seems to me you were avoiding traffic. This is in no way representative of all of Amarillo. Thumbs down!!
