This is one of the scariest experiences of my life had it for over 4 years until I was diagnosed.. I’m so glad this condition has a medical term people just don’t understand, even some doctors misdiagnosed it’s a complicated one

Another great video! Just to add, in carotid artery lesions do you consider carotid dissection often? I know it can present in younger patients as TMVL and I wonder how often you have seen this

I once woke up after meditating, and I saw the sun light that was entering to my room as if a light was before a fan, and I could see the dark and light parts. Then I got scared and after a week I got it for a fraction of second as in a blink in the 2 eyes doctor said it was stress but not sure about it, what I'm grateful though is that is only a fraction of second

I had a Binocular Vision loss ( NLP) my vision came back in the ambulance … The emergency room doctor said it was most likely a sudden dilation of a vein rather than a blood clot…… they didn’t do any diagnostics just blood thinners and discharged me about 45 minutes later

I've been getting this transient blindness/dimness in one eye and it only happens in bed, in the dark, usually if I wake up in the middle of the night. Seems like as soon as I turn the light on, it goes away.

Dr Lee, If you see these patients in clinic and they've had amaurosis for weeks or months do you send them straight to the ED or get the work up on an urgent outpatient basis?

i often experience a few seconds of blindness when i go outside or sometimes when im just walking in my house and i cant see suddenly, can this be caused by frequent playing of video games? and can it be considered as amaurosis fugax

@riddance_ i haven't had this in quite a while already, and i didn't even remember about it, until i saw your'e comment, i was playing games until about 2-3am on average daily after graduating highschool at the time of my comment, and what i think stopped this from happening was probably more rest, especially for my body and eyes, i now workout regularly and have at least 8hrs of rest everyday, i still play quite alot, but not as much, cut down games from probably 10-15 hrs daily to about non-8hrs at most now, still bad but still an improvement for alot of rest to balance it out, but yeah, this is just what i did which eventually avoided this 'blindness' from happening again

@riddance_ yes, the more you allow your body to rest, the better it will make you feel, yea to start off with a week is good, but you also should learn and try to do this on a regular basis, as you also wouldn't want that blindness thing, or maybe even worse things happening to you......well anyways, all the best to you
