I'm 100% behind recycling of metals and it's good to see it done here too. There's a definite downside too though.. Notice how the molten metal gains rounded pasty globules on it? Workers skim some off but the rest is flattened into each ingot. That's zinc. The ingots are massively contaminated with zinc alloys because there is no quality control on the furnace feedstock. I find that very suspicious because manual labour is plentiful and could easily be used for sorting out contaminants within the feedstock. You'd almost think that the factory owners allow contamination on purpose to increase profits. They would never do that would they?...

I've worked with the largest Die casting machines in the world, making transmissions. _And, worked in the melt shop too._ Anyway, that aluminum needs some flux to purify it more, surprised that was never done besides a little skimming of the dross at the final ingot stage. Where is this aluminum sold if I may ask?

I'm dumbstruck-- molten aluminum and open-toed sandals. And all that lifting-- all those sore muscles! Also the ingots going out are low-grade aluminum. Aluminum for structural uses is refined with specific small amounts of alloying metals such as copper, zinc, and magnesium. It looks like they are tossing in whatever doesn't have brown rust on it, which includes not only aluminum but a host of zinc and tin alloys. What they put out is a mishmash of elements and can't be relied on for any demanding task. Probably fine for low-grade motor casings, not so good for anything that is going to be considerably stressed like vehicle control-arms.

So, mixed scrap is melted without any composition check with OES, and without any melt cleaning with fluxes, degassing or filters. Who would buy that? Also the scrap looks to be zinc alloy rather than aluminum.

1:29 I will never understand this. If they do not use transporting belts or any other technique, why the hell they will not push the trolley nearby the melting furmace and do not throw it in? For the 200 lbs are the 3 people standing around more then enough. 3x less of work, time saving, manpower saving.

Работал я на алюминиевом производстве плавильщиком и литейщиком. Для производства нормальных сплавов используют в основном чистый алюминий и немного того хлама из чего здесь льют, для удешевления продукта. А химический состав этого псевдо алюминиевого слитка я боюсь представить. При переплавке того говна должно быть очень много шлака и его надо сначало снять а здесь это не делали а лишь перемешали расплав. Химический состав здесь походу делать не на чем и дальнейшее использование этого алюминия под большим вопросом у нормальных заводов.Вообщем полукустарное производство под местный рынок или на экспорт к нетребовательным соседям.

Я отработал в цветной металлургии 17лет и цех алюминия был. На сколько я ошибался что у нас рабский и дешёвый труд. Тут не вижу даже простейших гпзм и отсутствие сиз ! Реально жаль работяг! До пенсии не доживает никто! Организм изроблен и отравлен металлами! Кадмий входит как примесь, он парит а им дышат. Просто погуглите чем опасен кадмий!. Мне 47 лет и я максимально был защищен от вредного воздействия! Кости болят, с кровью проблемы, грыжа диска вырезана, гипертония, аритмия. Как живу хз. И при хорошем олигархе в 2000 годах была реально шикарная зарплата!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Потом купил завод угмк и теперь за копейки трудятся мои ученики.
