In my view, anything and everything is HER magic. If it is good, it may be white magic, if it causing trouble, we treat that as Black magic. I cannot say that it is not there, but surely it works more effectively on someone due to fear. The absolute trust on Goddess Mother removes that fear. There are many mantras to create trust and courage in you through which you can handle black magic fear. These are Vaaraahi, Pratyangira Mantra Etc. But the most simple method I suggest is as follows - Take a bucket of water and add 3 handfuls of Rock Salt, and take bath with the salt water reciting the following mantra : "Eim Hreem Sreem Dushta doora duraachaaraSamani doshavarjitaayai namaha Paahimaam rakshamaam". This should be done till the water in the bucket is over. - Guruji

Yes pratipada to chaturdashi is same in any paksha. On pournami it is chitra nitya and on amavasya it is Shodashi nitya. Only difference is in amavasya and pournami.
