Pien van Gerven performed a wonderful rendition of Schubert's Ave Maria at our previous public piano at Nijmegen Station :). Also for me the best rendition of this song that I've ever come across. She does not only have an exceptional voice, but both she as well as the pianist really feel the emotions that the words convey and express them in their playing/singing. But not to forget, it comes from Schubert, who was able like no other to express feelings through his music.

It's amazing how many people stopped what they were doing to listen to her singing Ave Maria. By far this song is my absolute favorite. I have quite a few videos of people singing this song.

I would have stopped dead in my tracks if I had been lucky enough to pass her in the railway station. I wouldn't care if I missed my train. This is one of the best versions of Ave Maria I've heard. Even if it was performed in an acoustically compromised environment.

That beautiful singer brought a little bit of peace to the people at the train stations with her amazing rendition of the Catholic hymn Ave Maria. That is what Christianity is really about - PEACE, if it is being followed correctly. Let's do it - all Christians!

Most beautiful both the piano and the vocals. I have commented on other sites like this. Where am I when these events happen? I do so love music like this. What a thrill it would be to be around when something random like this takes place or when someone is playing the piano and someone with other instruments comes along to accompany them...WOW!
