Mining and Lumber can be controlled. But commercial Fishing can be curtailed by not eating free range fish from the big 3 Oceans. Pacific, Atlantic and Indian.
They should fish like they do on that Tuna show or set floating fish traps that don't entangle the fish or other sea life, just corrals it so there is no by-catch harm. Long liners, Purse netting and bottom trawlers need to go. Seafood will be more expensive, but it will still be available. They should also limit the number of commercial licenses and or catch quotas.
As much as I want this to be true, almost all fish you eat at your table is caught this way. If this was illegal, then the fish you like (or people like) would cost 10x as much. This is how fish gets to people's table cheap. If you want this to stop, people need to stop eating fish. It's that simple. If there's less of a demand for fish, more fish will stay in the sea.
@@TF23DayRespawn That's just fine with me, I doubt that I actually eat fish that I have purchased more than once or twice a year anyway, reducing that to NONE would not be much of jump.
@@azizseffari8282 guess they should start ocean farming the fish they need , just like others have done. We don't need to fish the Ocean to extinction because it's cheaper , soon there will be nothing left for anyone .
I live in the Virgin Islands and there used to be many schools of fish like these (I think they are skip jack tuna). They used to be they size of football fields thick. Then the trawlers showed up and they are GONE
this kind of fishing is not good to the Nature, the sea spcialy... after more years we will suffer from fishing if they won't stop this kind of fishing skills.
GLORIA A DIOS!
There is an old expression, "There's other fish in the sea" used to console someone who might have lost in love or perhaps a job. Watching the video makes me think that the industrial fishing methods being used today might being another expression-- "Sorry but you just lost the only fish left in the sea, TSK."
A few years more like this type of indiscriminate fishing and do not be surprised at all that there will be no more fishes in our seas and oceans. I could only fear for the future of our children.

Just think this is only one small boat ,one day,at 1 Time in a huge 4 oceans world. At the exact same time there are thousands of different boats doing the same thing all over the world.Seconds, mins, hours Daily, monthly, yearly
Relax my man! There is regulations on how much the can catch and plus there contracted out and they must meet a certain quota for the buyers. There is a certain time of the year there allowed to fish and once the quota is met they must legally stop fishing or there's some serious fines the captain and boat owner will receive.

@@mynamenowhastobeasecret.2079 The journal Science published a four-year study in November 2006, which predicted that, at prevailing trends, the world would run out of wild-caught seafood in 2048. The scientists stated that the decline was a result of overfishing, pollution and other environmental factors that were reducing the population of fisheries at the same time as their ecosystems were being annihilated. Reefs are also being destroyed by overfishing because of the huge nets that are dragged along the ocean floor while trawling. Many corals are being destroyed and as a consequence, the ecological niche of many species is at stake.
I was a Tuna Fisherman in the late 70s into the early 80s and had to quit because I could not deal with the indiscriminate killing of non tuna fish that took place. An old Italian Fisherman named Vito said the invention of Nylon fishing nets was going to be the end of many different species of fish. Tuna are the least affected because they spend only 10% of their life on the surface of the ocean. Other species such Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sharks and Dophins are killed as a by product of this type of fishing. This video reminds me of these bad practices.
I eat salmon, halibut and trout. All of which I catch myself. I’m not one against commercial fishing but seeing that ginormous net packed full was a little eye opening. Not by itself, but I’m sure the process happens thousands of times a day all over the world
It's nearly the ending phases for this type of fishing, it's been devastating for the resources of fish stock's the past 50 year's It has changed the ocean's eco system .Stop now.
It’s called comercial fishing. It’s not just a few people going out to have fun and catch a fish or two. This is how they make money it’s a business to idiot.
These aren't juveniles.they are skipjack .the smallest variety .but it's horrible to watch them scooping all of them out the ocean like so...I hope they will learn from Maldives about sustainable skipjack tuna fishing practices .but I don't think that's gonna happen

We had large fleets of purse seiners that fished the coastal waters of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas for Menhaden for50 years or so! The fish were processed into fish food but mostly oil that was used in cosmetic industry! Eventually cheaper synthetic oil was available and the environmental impact became too great! This type of fishing is indiscriminate and by catch too great!
