Danya is so hard on himself! Yet, at the end of the match, he finished with the exact same rating as he started with...so he performed exactly as well as is expected of him.
31:43 goes to show how elite Danya is in bullet when Magnus is in an endgame, and resigns anyway down a pawn. It's also ironically a testament to how strong Magnus' endgame strength is when he detects a position is lost so soon.
Wow, I caught this live on Lichess and rewatching it is still fun. Danya is incredibly fast and seeing Magnus be ~10s up on the clock is just mind-blowing. Hope to see many more matches between them both!
@@trequor That's pretty much how Hikaru is. He doesn't always get winning positions, but he's almost always up on the clock. It's just mind-blowing how Magnus (when he's in his element) can make players like Hikaru and Danya get into time trouble.
@@Eorzat Im no expert but what you say, hikaru doesnt always get the winning position, but he is up on time, thats great, but when you look at this match, when magnus won, when the time situation was close,he was almost always in a winning position. Danya is probably top 5 bullet players today but when you look at magnus and him, just wow
@@sarwatarannya8786 interesting choice,i mean i dont agree with your list but i respect it,cant say i have watched MVL play bullet but mine would be 1. Carlsen 2. Alireza 3. Hikaru 4. Tang 5. Danya
D: I suck and I can't get in the right mindset! I'm stressed out and I'm probably gonna quit after a couple more games. ***wins game*** D: I'm really not playing too badly... 😂 We all feel ya, my man.
Data that needs to be provided to those who think magnus is not as good in bullet as these others alireza maka danya tang. Hes in a top 3, probably the best.
Amazed by the flexibility of this man.. He explains us so well in 5 minute blitz game and then he just flawlessly encounters Magnus in a bullet.. He took the time to say to the chat that he won't be able to respond as he is busy.. Such a calm person..There is So much to learn from him..
very well done Danya and same to Magnus. very entertaining match and impressive play from both of you, especially considering how many games you play without a break. the speed that you both can play at, when you kick into your top pre-move speed is amazing to watch.
lmao earlier today I was trying to learn some Jobava London lines using the lichess database and a couple of games from this match popped up, had no idea Rebecca was danya and that those were bullet games though
Damn, at the end when Daniel had nothing but knight and bishop, that would've been so epic to see him premove that to victory, but unfortunately, it ended in a draw...
Don't get me wrong, the games were super impressive, but the approach that Danya had was really mature, even if he had to bail on an hour of lessons. Truly isn't every day you get to play Magnus.
@17:24 Ng8 was totally winning if it were not for black's Bg7!!, engines give -0.6 for black, any other move is completely losing (engines give +7 to the 2nd best move) @38:03 Be4! and black is -6.7 according to engines.
At 26:00 Magnus plays Be6 where Danya has to capture with knight and loses his queen. But I think stronger was Qxc5! removing the defender of e6 when Be6 now threatens mate so now Magnus would get the knight anddd then queen. It felt good to see a move that two of the best bullet players in the world didn’t see...
Why Daniel in not competing in big tournaments? I would love to see him there. I love Daniel so much, such a nice person. He has good streams, educational and 1000 iq.
These guys really aren't that great. Me and my boy D-Bo play much higher level chess. I personally plan 49 - 76.5 moves ahead depending on whether the board is plastic or oak. One time we laid out the board, I was black pieces. D-Bo resigned immidiately before the first move because it was obvious I had him beat.
At 17:20, Qxg5 looks simple and logical but Danya plays the perplexing Ng8 instead. Why? I don't see the threat nor why this is better than Qxg5. (I understand every move after this one though... very nice game!)
