This was the sweetest vlog. What a lovely gentleman and his staff as well, very much a family atmosphere. Memories of old times especially when he spoke of grandma.
OMG IM SO IN LOVE ❤️ WITH ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS. The bike ride was so exciting to see i was on the edge of my seat. I also love the passion of the chefs skills of cooking that is essential in any art of cooking. Please you have no idea how much i need your videos to help my peace of mind. Please keep them coming. I need them 😊
Steven, I've been watching you since the river days, and have enjoyed your culinary skills, culinary adventures, etc....but this video is one of my all time favorite. Filming the origin, the process, and mouth watering food! And the just chill vibes...really loved this installment! Thank you!
Listen, Stephen, if my hubby and I love you one more time yuh see! You don't know it but you are our adopted son😊 because your outlook on life mirrors ours in every way. Keep on striving and loving the simplest and most beautiful things in life. Bless up, SON!❤😊
One thing about Jamaicans, they really take pride in what ever that cook! And I love that❤ its like there preparing food for their family's! Loved ❤the video Stephen. And that guy on the bike 😮 could he ever fly on that bike 😅 Big up your self 💕👍
Really loved this vlog and the owner/staff! Everyone truly has a story worth telling and for us to listen to! This reminded me of you great aunt/grandmother and the love they showed through the authentic cooking ❤ But I must say, the level of stress and anxiety I had from the young man riding the bike for the food delivery 😬...just glad he was safe! It certainly gives a different perspective! He is really working hard! Bless you all 🙏🏾
There is no place like jamaica we’re coming from zero one day we will feed England with a spoon nuf love to all my Jamaican brothers and sisters all over the world take your time and do the right things just remember jamaica is home 🏡

That food looks good, and I can't wait to visit. Thanks, Steven, and it was so generous of you to help out at the end of the day. Applause 👏 and blessings 🙌 ♥️

Keeping the company of a Veteran of life is admirable...plus perfecting the culinary skills, amazing! Sweet video. Master bike ride tho...scary as hell, geezus. Yuh can even talk after eating...lol! God bless...from a Trini by way of Brooklyn.
I love that little family restaurant nice and clean also well supported by the son and daughter you can see they put lots of love in it much blessings 🙏🏾
This was a true good vibe video. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Love the Tenth Mountain symbol. Oh, yeah food , the staff, and Chef/Owner are amazing people.
Loving this country style cooking, keeping the tradition alive with the coal pot cooking the use of dutch ovens. Seriously one of your better vlogs, notwithstanding the awesome previous ones. Keep enjoying Brother and be safe.
1:01:18 I see that 10th mountain infantry patch pon di wall. Memories of some time I spent in water town wid mi older brother he was in that unit when I came home on R&R I was with 172nd infantry dem time.
I noticed he did a lot of work and was willing to reach his customers by any means, I definitely thought it would be cool to show that and to showcase the roadways of Jamaica which I don’t show too often.
I know i would have gotten in trouble because I'm a country boy from the deep south and i love to cook but i like to taste what I'm cooking to make sure my food is good and seasoned properly but just like frying that chicken i gotta set me a piece to the side to eat because i want people to enjoy there food and for them to also taste the different seasonings in there food that's why i taste it first because if I'm not satisfied with the quality of my food then i know other's are not going to be happy with quality of the food and i want serve it to them unless it's good quality i like to cook with love ❤
Great video Steven. Great cooking and the bike ride was super interesting. Your videos capture the spirit of Jamaica. It’s such a “can do” place. Even tho I live in the USA I was born in Jamaica and it is always in the heart.
Yeah you can tell he was up north in the 70s because here in the south the stores sold chicken feet and backs and most definitely every part of the pig
Hey Stephen, I am loving this food tour in my place, been to Soldier Camp, food is good, never had food at Piggy’s but will do in the summer. Well done with these videos, keep them coming. I am really enjoying them.
There was a time in Canada you could buy a whole ox tail or cow foot for $1. As soon as the demand increased with more west indians moving there the party was over!😂🏝️
A Jamaican friend who came to Canada from England in the late 60s told me the butcher would thrown in the cow foot as brawta for FREE! He then started to charge 10 cents for it as his West Indian clientele grew.🐄🏝️
Great vid so much knowledge from the experience guy. He knows what he's talking about, very good young generation to learn from 🇯🇲☝🏾 soai number 1. Aka fitzroy simpson
Enjoyed it too. Bike delivery was on point! Reminded me of how crazy my brother was on his bike, LOL. Have I told you how jealous I am that you get to eat all that good food? Your "crime scene" was a felony!
So true food should my you happy, I just spent ten days in the 876 the food is to die for did I say the FOOD. My guy you must try the real pan pork granville square every friday & saturday.
Breastwork in Portland, Port Antonio ,a lot of my summers were spent there in my youthman days right on that corner and futher down Red Hassle Road ...sigh
hay man.. it's been a while since commented bro... everything was pretty much gold brother.. I loved unity in the bird videos but but small bird meat isn't the best..
SOAI, can you make a list of where these restaurants are in Jamaica. I left there when I was 12 and I have no idea where many of these places are. Would like to check out some of them when I visit JA.
I always say during slavery the masters/owners dashed tripe/pigs tail/cow foot/chicken foot /back and our grandmothers took them and made them into cuisine!!❤😋🥰
same thing in uk 60's - fish salmon heads used to be given to cats - then off Jamaicans start talk and now fishmongers earn from what they used throw away. They study the markets and have their insiders feeding (no pun intended) them info. No easter comes without Bun/cheese extra fish etc. Oh well - Ev - UK
