We had a female aussie "Georgia" (identical coloring btw). I did not even finish teaching her to roll over but one day I was trying to get my 1 year old german shepherd to roll over using treats ...I was making a circle with my finger trying to get him to do it....I was physically rolling him over and using this gesture and was getting a little frustrated when out of the corner of my eye I see MissGeorgia just rolling over and over off to the side! She wanted that treat! She was like "LOOK I'm DOING IT! I GET IT! now pay up! Never laughed so hard ...smart as a whip!
I remember many decades ago when people living in the outback and bush here in Australia would regularly have at least one Australian Terrier as they are not only cheeky comedians and affectionate, but also good at alerting people to snakes and are swift and agile of body and mind at catching and killing them. It was rare that one would be bitten and a very sad and bitter loss if it did happen, but when you have kids living in places that are in the midst of an area akin to an ocean of surrounding and home invading snakes, a champ of a dog like this is very nescessary.
We always thought my dog Rico Suave was a Chorkie, but recently I came across pics and description of the Australian Terrier and he is totally an Aussie! He's stubborn like they say but one trick he showed us early on is "meerkat", when a woman in a dog store tried a sweater on him he sat up pretty (like your Judy) and put his paws out and she said "oh, you've got a meerkat here!" and it stuck. I'm a huge Aussie fan now!
This made me so happy and so gushing! Love Australian Terriers. My parents have one called Billy. Judy in the video does the tricks so well. Love the one where she walks on the owners feet. Very adorable!
I got two :D But I'm having some trouble with my oldest one right now. He's hyperventilating alot, and he's already drank alot of water and he's not even hot. Does anyone know what the cause of this might be and how to prevent it in the future? It was pretty scary
Hii, how did you learn the dog so many amszing tricks?? I am going to have a australian terrier tomorrow and I want to learn him tricks too😮🐶😂💖pleas answer
